If both City and the Mousers get through that’s 4 English teams out of 8. So there’s a fair chance of drawing a PL rival.
Much as I hate to say it, they have a very good defence and that's the mark of any successful side in a CL campaign.
OK we'll play you in the QF, City in the SF and then give Kloppy another black eye in a final!

We've never been knocked out of the CL by a London team or lost to an English side in the competition. I may have just made that up but the point still stands!
Whilst we're on the issue of of Hoddle and other talented players in **** teams, Trevor Brooking has to get a shout. I know he won a couple of FA cups with West Ham, but other than that, one of England's most gifted midfielders ever who has very little to show in honours.
They've won it twice Kipper, 3 times if you include the old format.

I know, he scored the only goal to beat us in that 1980 final. Wider point being he was another player with naturally gifted talent who spent his career in an average team and ended up with very little to show for it.
