In 1965 the first substitute was allowed in English footie.

The concept had been vehemently opposed in parts of Hampshire.

"Where will it end? They won't stop at one each. Soon they will want 3 or more per side!. Just think of the disruption and delay. Fans won't know which horse drawn tram to catch home. Why can't we just keep it how it is? If a player collapses, injuted, just leave them there and play around them like we used to do in the good old days! This is going to ruin the game, I tell thee!" <laugh>

Well done for completely missing the point.
Technology is great if it works, clearly in its current form VAR doesn’t. Whether you slow down or speed up the contentious decision, it ultimately hinges on a subjective decision.

Precise why var doesnt work.

Even in the second shot (presumably the var one) he doesnt look offside from than angle. But just look at where his feet are and then take the fact hes leaning in would make him off.

As i said VAR in 30 seconds or bin it (kane would be onside using this methodology as linesman didnt flag) to overrule obvious errors

The main problem with that pic, as alluded to in the article, is that it doesn’t show when the ball was played. If that’s taken a split second after it probably means Kane was onside when the ball was actually played.

Well done for having a humour bypass ...

... and evolution is not confined to technology, it includes rule changes ...

VAR is still technology in relative infancy ... just as videos paved the way to blu-ray and even streaming ... technology almost always improves over time .... some will embrace change ... some will bleat ...

So, the upshot for VAR seems to be...

A) It's great if it goes in your favour.

B) It's a load of knob-cheese if it doesn't.

Nope it's still **** when in your favour to.

I'd rather watch a family member get sodomised by Arry than attend a football match with var.

Did you say something humorous then. Can’t say I noticed, but then I typically skim over your posts, as I find a 60 year old continually making sexual innuendoes slightly disturbing.
As for technology, I’ve witnessed good and bad over my career as an Electrical/ Electronic engineer. Unless you can remove the subjective element it will never improve.

Not surprised you wouldn't notice tbf <ok>

Why has Olegend got you so rattled? You’ve found yet another way to make a tit out of yourself since he became caretaker manager.

He’s about 2 steps from the Looney house mate, he’s a complete nervous wreck. Flapping everywhere. He spent almost £500 on balloons and Carling last night and invited half the village round to celebrate United’s defeat to PSG.
