Hope so!are they at risk of breaching FFP????
are they at risk of breaching FFP????
Oh of course different league...Think they have but if they stay in the Premier league is ok .
RM were out of sorts but this Ajax team also drew twice with Bayern in the qualifying group and can really lift their game for the big stage, which they don't often do in the Eredivisie - they lost at Heracles Almelo with exactly the same starting line up as tonight. Unfortunately money is what it is and the team may well be broken up in the summer with so called monied clubs sniffing around. If a Premier League club had achieved this result tonight then the B.B.C. commentators would have been tossing themselves off with excitement, claiming them as the best in the World.Fair play to Spurs tonight... and I know RM are out of sorts but what a performance from Ajax.

They are indeed - for € 75 Million, plus around €11 Million in possible add ons. For a player who is in his first full season in the Eredivisie this appears a bit of a risk for Barca. In 2016/17 he was playing for Jong Ajax in the second division and was injured for 3 months of last season. To be honest if he is worth so much then Hakim Ziyech must be worth double. He is only 21 and did not come through the Ajax academy - but came from Willem Tilburg, which is why he is going. It is a condition of the academy that players go on to complete 5 professional years at the club before leaving. As long as they hold onto their manager over the summer everything else will be ok. I don't see the benefit to anyone in players going too early - they end up bit players somewhere else warming benches in the Prem or in Spain whereas if they stayed at Ajax and became established Dutch internationals before leaving at 25 or 26 (as in the past) they would develop their game much better.Aren't Barca already buying De Jong this summer for example...
