The words ‘hissy’ and ‘fit’ spring to mind.

I’ve no idea why this is being reported so widely I really, really don’t. Broken down what it amounts to is an owner thinks his horse(s) is badly handicapped. This happens, even on a normal days racing, about 30 times! The handicapper assesses a horse and then the owner either (i) is very happy, (ii) is very sad or (iii) says they are very sad when really they are very happy! Some you like their marks, some you don’t. That is a fact of life and as they say ‘that’s racing’.

Also, what about all the countless number of runners he’s not withdrawing in the handicaps?!? That you could say is the real pertinent point, people. Do we therefore conclude these are wonderfully handicapped and should be punted accordingly??!

Oooh that puts me in mind of those cold war espionage stories with good old Bernard Samson with double agents and triple agents etc.

Santini is very much on the drift in the RSA, right now. Currently available at 4/1 with several firms. Ladbrokes though have countered this and shortened the old by into 5/2!

I did say they were taking the piss with Jezki, now this:

My sympathy for connections is somewhat limited given the strokes they've tried to pull with the handicapper over the years at the Festival. One in particular (name escapes me) in the Coral Cup that would run like a dog all season and then 'come alive' at Cheltenham. As I recall it didn't win but came very close. I think it was turned over by an either bigger rogue (McCain) one year. What JP really means is that they're not 20lb well in so they won't win.

Money coming for Santini again and now only available at 4’s in one place (William Hill).

Meanwhile, eye catchingly good money for the ‘Endo ‘orse, Dream Du Grand Val, in the ‘County’. 20’s earlier today now as low as 10/1. Also in the Imperial Cup at the weekend.

Santini very lame apparently... surely they take him out?

Delta Work should be 9/4 fav for the RSA, 5/1 a fair price.

Topofthegame seems to find a way to lose races and Santini has always been overrated, how he is favourite for this is absolutely staggering. Delta Work is bombproof in every department, best form over hurdles, best form over fences, likes good ground, won at the fesitval last year, same race Presenting Percy won before winning this I think.
9/4 fav now

In the Mares Novices Hurdle I like Elusive Belle

Trained by Nicky Henderson she will be suited by a true gallop

Each Way @ 16-1 [Paddy Power] Non Runner No Bet

Don't get too cocky Eddie. Your Gold Cup horse is headed for the Ryanair I hear. :emoticon-0138-think
Yeah? Im sure you got on at 25s when it was a foal.

I dont fancy anything for the Gold Cup, never have done, thought Road To Respect was value. Delta Work and BVD have been my main fancies for months. Barely watched a jump race this season.

The Oddschecker data for the RSA is useless. Almost every horse is reported as contracting in price in a sea of blue, while virtually nothing is on the drift.

The value is scandalous. Sporting Bet, for example, go 2/1, 11/4 and 10/3 on the first three in the betting. That's 83% of the book right there, meaning that if you backed all three horses you would break even if Delta Work wins, make 75p on a £3 outlay if Santini wins and a whopping profit by £1.33 on £3 invested if Topofthegame lands the spoils. That is a BEST case scenario of having bet 4/9 your money on the three combined.

Gee whiz Eddie, I was only pulling your leg.
