Mark Hollis RIP Absolutely loved his sound. Talk Talk one of my all time favourite bands from the 80's.
Andrey Previn 89 RIP https://www.nytimes.com/2019/02/28/...hose-music-knew-no-boundaries-dies-at-89.html
Can let the passing of Andre Previn pass without comment...... A Musical genius, composer, multi instramentalist, resident conductor at most of the biggest and most important orchestras in the world and for 10 minutes or so a comedy straight man....... RIP Sir.......
I don't think there were too many serious musicians who would have played that straight man back then, that 10 minutes brought him a whole new audience. As you say a musical genius, RIP...
The story goes that he only read the script on the flight over from the States and it was filmed in 1 take.....3 master's of their profession....
RIP and immense respect to John King, 77, who developed motor neurone disease 18 months ago and whose health deteriorated rapidly as a result. Yesterday he died, by choice, through the simple act of deliberately taking off his oxygen mask (apparently this does not count as assisted dying). He gave an interview to the BBC explaining very cogently his reasoning a couple of days before.
Eusebio Pedroza who fought Barry Mcguigan at Loftus Rd in 1985 has died aged 62. please log in to view this image
One of the most memorable nights at HQ, seemed as if the whole country was willing McGuigan on, you had to feel sorry for Pedroza who had been a great champion but was past his peak and on the night McGuigan eventually overwhelmed him...
I'm devastated at this......seen the Prodigy a few times, a great live act Keith Flint dead: Prodigy legend dies at 49 after being found unconscious at home The singer, famous for hit song Firestarter and his wild haircut was found dead at his home this morning https://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/breaking-keith-flint-dead-prodigy-14084654.amp
I’m actually in tears over Keith’s passing....met him a couple of times backstage and he always seemed a decent fella. Gave me so many good times.... RIP mate
I only saw the Prodigy once at a rave for 20k people called Vision back in 92. Me and my mates managed to get right to the front when they were on, Keith shook my hand. Mind blowing show as always. Very sad news.
