Hmm. As far as I understand it County Lines is a drug dealing business where organised crime uses kids to deal in market towns. Violence would be used to keep the street dealers in line and to have a go at competition. Killing an innocent stranger would be bad for business, because the police will be all over it. The big city kids gangs are much more territory based and their violence is directed at other gangs and people straying into their territory. Initiation ceremonies would surely be based on violence towards perceived threats or enemies? Mind you these people are so moronic perhaps not. I’m with Stainsey, I don’t buy Nawaz’s theory.
In between the Brexit dross the media a few weeks ago ran another spotlight on the post code Gand war fare ... up to the present now we have situations in other cities in the UK This won’t stop here such is the culture now It looks out of control now as I fully understand why people have to carry knives in this environment... about time a few caught up on that imo ... the crime of murder hasn’t changed nor will it but the punishment needs to be ramped up imo Eye for an eye would be a good place to start imo
Yes, I think your and Stainsey's thinking is sound, but as you say, gangs don't always act logically, and there's no doubt, initiation tasks are used. If it is an attack by a complete stranger, the police will have their work cut out to solve it.

It's all speculation at the moment Anybody who has prosecuted cases in the criminal courts will be well familiar with the excuse /mitigation given that the knife is carried merely for protection. Sentencing was rarely harsh for simple possession. However just two questions, why three strikes when talking about a lethal weapon and why not capital punishment where the knife is not used in an act of self-defence? It would seem that the reported victims are often unarmed innocents and occasionally victims of mistaken identity or said something/looked at a gang member which indicated disrespect. In such cases why do we need to give the culprit any more chances at all?
I was out with the wife on Saturday night for a drink and a meal and witnessed 6 youths who all talked like Ali G actually call the lovely waitress/bar tender the N word which was ironic considering their speech. It kicked off with bottles flying everywhere. These youths are everywhere. As I said to the mrs, all of them white lads, with some form of mental problem to suddenly change their whole language when they reach teenagers dont have any fear or deterrents.

Terrible stuff You can pick anywhere in the U.K. on any evening of the week and you will find this ****e I have had a number of run ins in the last couple of years with the youth in Sourh London Lost generation who it is almost impossible to communicate with ... they understand a smack but believe me it doesn’t stop there and requires a strong stand ... Always it involves verbal encounters in my experience with the feral but you walk away you make them stronger imo I certainly do not just walk on by if I have to and have no fear but understand that many do It’s not just a U.K. thing I have had situations in Barca, Perpignan and Mexico in the last 6 years you stand off you will win the power game . The media paints it with such fear as they love it The basic thing here is that if any human wants to do you wrong they have prepared for it ... say a mugging and you can clearly see the power they have grown. Groups of U.K. youths most of the time are in theatre nothing more . These stabbing crimes won’t stop they will get worse imo and the punishment must be so harsh that it puts doubt out there to any kid. The policing is the places I mentioned above are far more brutal especially Barca and close by in Perpignan so I don’t believe the English copper can do anything in this weak fickle fearful society. We were all taught in my farming family that if you sense trouble towards you then put any threat down and talk about it afterwards. My sons have been taught the same . Fear is the key and as a parent my boys all were swimmers at birth did rock climbing ( nothing better imo for confidence) but more importantly knew how to look after themselves ****ing gangs I would love to see them wiped out but no chance of that so live with them as it will get worse .
Agree in all honesty, Get caught with a knife, 12 months inside, Get caught a 2nd time 5 years inside no parole, Get caught a 3rd time inside for life minimum 40 year term, finally use a knife to stab, maim or kill and you go to prison for the rest of your natural life, no parole no release you come out in a box, it’s that simple.

Three strikes and you're out - I use that as a catch-all phrase for an approach where for example, a criminal that has 11 convictions for violence and asks for 5 more to be taken into account at sentencing, aren't given short prison or community sentences. Repeat offenders (violent or where it is clear they are professional, eg professional burglars or those that commit a number of fraud offences against old people) should face very long sentences, taking into account their appalling criminal record - it could be shortened if they make genuine progress with rehabilitation.
Used to listen to his music abit. Not sure how i feel about this as when he first went on trial and in my teens, oblivious to the world and news. Still a bit unsure now will wait to see what happens. With regards to knife crime, its terrible what society has become. Its definitely a youth/younger generation problem. My colleague was telling me a story about his sons mate who got mugged late at night, handed his **** over and still got stabbed for the sake of it
