Stan's got a sore throat, so think we should give him a free pass on this one! If we can beat Massive, we'll all feel a lot better
No need to start getting nasty, sore throat or not. He lowered himself with those comments about my education. Short memories some have on here.

Oh dear you have just lowered your standards now. Getting like the other muppets that I cancelled out.
Maybe you should have a rest fella as you are sounding all bitter and nasty.
I’m experimenting with what it’s like at your level, baby blue.
Agree but it just shows you how nasty some get when an argument doesn't go their way. They need to get personal like some of the other muppets. For all their talk they are actually sad people.
See the above. At least I’ll answer a direct question when it’s put to me. Why are you so touchy about your education? You were the one who thought it necessary to tell everyone about your Masters. ‘Muppet’, ‘usual suspects’ ‘enemy within’, the endless witless **** you have doled out to Bob, if ‘getting personal’ is sad and you think I’m sad I’ll take your word for it because you are the expert.

Wine going down well and we haven’t let a goal in yet. Excellent.

Actually regarding my Masters I only replied to someone who was discussing degree's. I didn't boast about it or 'tell everyone', sadly when I mentioned it sad muppets started knocking me about it. As for bob... I said from day one that he was being a WUM and after last week He need to go in the DT bin.
As for you, I am disappointed as I expect more but then again you have proved me wrong.

Ah **** have you put me on ignore ellers. Damn that's a shame fella. You never did like being questioned on your constant drivel. Ah well nevermind. Did you say you had a degree? A degree of self interest more like! Seriously is a shame that people, when questioned on their opinions put people on ignore due to being unable to justify such said opinions. It's a weak person who does that in my opinion. Looks like we will be staying in the EU a while longer.

Put me in your ignore bin then comment about my posts anyway like you do with DT then. It’s only an Internet message board, who give a serious **** about what other people think? Everybody is pissed off because however you voted in the referendum you have been royally ****ed over and that ain’t going to change for any of us.

In my view Bob is as far from being a WUM as you can get, but it’s just my, disappointing view.

Brilliant post Bob. It’s the same as ‘it might be a bit bumpy with a no deal Brexit’. I can survive a ‘bit bumpy’. People already using food banks can’t. It’s an arrogant and thoughtless position. They wish ill on the EU because if it fails that will somehow justify their prejudice against it. The EU needs change, which might not happen, but a collapse will bring suffering to hundreds of millions of people. But who cares, they’re foreigners.

Those bloody pesky racist leave voters eh?

That's fine fella. I just expected more from you other than cheap digs at someones education. But as you said it's just a message board and there are plenty of keyboard experts.

Whatever you want Col. I wasn’t thinking racism actually, just an endemic wish by some people, including a couple on here and Ellers and Goldie specifically (no hiding behind this ‘usual suspects’ bollocks for me) who seem to delight in pointing out problems and potential problems in EU countries, beyond criticism of the EU itself. Fair enough, many countries do have problems, people can post what they want and I can interpret their posts however I like (I don’t see it as racism, more of a justification of their Brexit position), none of it is important. And some of us, including me on occasion, point out failings in the UK and are branded traitors or the ‘enemy within’ in return. Equally fair enough, doesn’t bother me in the slightest, and I would prefer people to say what they think rather than bottle it all up.

Still in the sun?

Seemed to suggest a dislike for foreigners, but hey, whatever.

Yep. Here till Monday. Unusually hot for February in Lanzarote, around 25-28c. Gorgeous!

Agree. As I said the whole rotten place will self destruct.

And the U.K. the worst divided nation in the west wouldn’t ? England is the mess and about time people woke up to that. The EU will change for sure either way ... yet to still continue to imagine or hope it will fail is plain stupid imo

It’s a bigger collective whatever happens
It won’t matter about opinions it will be about facts

Bumpy road ? Anyone who thinks the U.K. isn’t in for a bad time is again stupid

I like this shrill, hysterical Ellers. Oh oh, I have been betrayed, I’m a snowflake victim, be scared of what I might do! I might vote for a bunch of nationalist populists to piss you off! Fill your boots baby blue.

Your ERG mates couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery, let alone an effective political party. It took them months to get a no confidence vote together, which they lost. Their rich mates are busy getting their cash out of the country. Much more likely that May will go before the next election, Johnson will take over with the help of the gammons and blue rinses in the constituencies, and many of your 17.4m mates, who only have influence through their vote, will be conned into voting for him. Splitting the Brexit vote between Tories and Nationalists. Then your chums will get to vote for the people who betrayed them from the word go, the ones who lied to them throughout the leave campaign.

Brexit voters believed the **** peddled through the referendum campaign, I’d say a large proportion of them are naive and probably now angry. Not of course the middle class ones like you and Ellers, but the huddled masses of the dying industrial north and the deprived seaside towns. I’m confident none of them voted for a ‘bumpy ride’, they are barely surviving now and were expecting some instant benefits from the referendum result, let alone Brexit itself. These are the people who will genuinely suffer from a no deal Brexit, I’ll just be inconvenienced like you. Neither of us has the right to speak for them. None are natural Tory voters, their vote is more likely to go far right or far left. And the far left have a better story for them, from what I can see.

Get out the sheep dip there are few stubborn tagnuts that need attention

A quick brush up and the sheep can be returned to their field and the great thing is they will actually believe it’s a new field

What a load of bollocks. The member states of the EU have been going a lot longer than the attempt at a federal Europe. Ask the young people in Italy and Spain whether they'll be losing their jobs. They won't because they haven't got a ****ing job

Well that’s a view
Europe is beautiful and believe me I am qualified to experience what young people do for work in Italy Spain and France ... they get on their bikes and work it’s that simple . Ethics I see it in real time . I then experience for example a borough close to my U.K. home and see full on what can be described as English youth wasters on benefits

Don’t paint Europe to be a mess when I challenge anyone on here to monitor what is around them home in the U.K.

Massive differences in culture and the U.K. is the bloody mess

You do talk some absolute bollox sometimes, Paul.
If only real life was a simple as it is in your pretty little head. I’m sure the 31.4 percent of youth who are unemployed in Spain would like that too ( We won’t talk about the 21.5 percent in your beloved France and god forbid mentioning the 42.3 percent in Greece).
These are REAL people.....and like this country.....it’s a ****ing mess.

Anyway, away from the massively important Brexit news.......is anyone watching the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan with a slightly nervous twitch ?
If these ‘two tribes go to war’ it could get very nasty indeed

Yep, it’s scary. Especially given the current leadership of those countries - Modi is a nationalist populist, and who knows what Imran Khan stands for. They, and by extension we, are relying on common sense within the military of both countries.

Also in the news
- good for Emma Thompson

- Xenophobes rejoice! Foreign language teaching in state schools reaches an all time low. The combined total of kids studying a language for GCSE in 37 local authority areas is less than the number studying languages at Eton. In 3 areas absolutely no one took a language GCSE. Reason ‘languages are hard to get a good grade in’ so neither pupils nor schools are incentivised to study them. But it doesn’t matter, because everyone else speaks English. Well no, 75% of the worlds population doesn’t. Nick Gibb, the schools minister, was on the wireless blaming the last Labour Government for this (he was quickly shut down on that) then saying how brilliantly we are doing teaching Mandarin. In 2018 746,000 A levels were taken. 3,300 of them were in Mandarin.*

- big day for the soul of the Republican Party in the US. Trump is in Vietnam, trying to distract attention from what is going on in Congress. If it emerges in hearings today that he wrote a cheque to give to Stormy Daniels while President even Republicans should conclude that he should be impeached. His ex mate Michael Cohen is said to be providing the evidence today.

*even if you have no interest in talking to foreigners, learning a foreign language in adulthood is proven to ward off dementia. So worth the effort.
