Lets hope Fulham try and play and not park the bus like Cardiff. Then we might stand a chance of getting 3 pts. I'm not hopeful though

I am hopeful, because I absolutely think we suited Cardiff’s style, but I don’t think we’ll suit Fulham’s.

We were almost the perfect victim for Cardiff. Fulham will be a completely different challenge, one I think will suit us better.

We had some good phases, especially start of the game, after their first goal and the beginning of the second half when we changed the shape. Obafemi going off really made our attack weak as we had no pace to play in behind and El Younoussi who is a waste of a player on the pitch.

Valery was very decent as was the midfield, but I still can’t get over how poor our squad is overall, and how naive/arrogant/stingy/not-a-pot-to-piss-in the board were for the transfer window, and I’ll continue to blame this for poor results.

Onto the ultimate showdown on Wednesday. Up the Saints :emoticon-0107-sweat

Good assessment that.

I'm not sure that this game will be a defining moment as i didnt expect anything at the emirates. Yes, we played some nice football at times but it is just too easy for opponents. Unfortunatly wednesday will be our defining moment and it will not be a good one.

Didn’t see it, didn’t listen to it. Remembered we had played at 8pm and checked the beeb to see how much we had lost by. Meh.

Roll on Fulham that’s a ‘must win’. If we can’t beat them at home I might become worried.

Watching back on MOTD, and not sure how that first goal was Stephens fault? Yes it was a foul by him, but the goal wasn't his fault at all.

Stupid backpass by Stephens again for the 2nd goal, but why, oh why didn't Gunn just let it go out and let us regroup? He isn't getting any stick at all that I can see and he's at least as culpable as Stephens (and I say that as a Gunn fan)

Stephens tried to run with the ball, instead of taking the easy passing option which led to the chance. So it was his fault, but if we want ball playing defenders that sort of thing happens sometimes.

Second one, agree about Gunn but Stephens was really stupid to play him into that position.

The level of hate toward Stephens is a bit harsh today - especially those that booed him. Shocking. But its the last few games combined boiling over. He’s been really bad, especially when we have Yoshida sat there watching.

I really don't think he has been that poor until yesterday, but both the goals came from him being a bit casual and sloppy on the ball IMO.
You don't get the time to mess about with the ball in dangerous areas and good players will punish you.
