Off to the Emirates Sunday after a couple of weeks off including a weeks warm weather training, lucky for some eh? Arsenal will obviously be favourites but perhaps their Europa League game on Thursday against Bate Borisov could be a bit of a leveler, especially after defeat in Belarus means they may have to play a stronger team than originally planned. Not sure on team news but reckon we'll see Maya back in side, is Obafemi fit yet? Wouldn't mind seeing him presuming Ings is out. Last time we played Arsenal: Last time I went to the Emirates: My prediction? An entertaining 2-2 draw... UTFS Yeeeelllllooooowwws!
Arsenal are much better at home than away, so a shame that we're playing them at the Emirates. We're not expected to get anything from this game, so despite our position in the league a draw would be a good result. A surprise win against Arsenal would take the pressure off the Fulham game a bit, although that game is a must win regardless of the Arsenal result. Still no Bertrand news?
Our relegation rivals fixtures this weekend: Friday Cardiff v Watford West Ham v Fulham Saturday Burnley v Tottenham Newcastle v Huddersfield Leicester v Crystal Palace Brighton don't play until Tuesday when they face Leicester (who will have played only a few days before...)
Positives A reasonable chance that Cardiff, Fulham, Huddersfield and Burnley don't get any points this weekend I think Ralphs style may work well v the Arse We are better and our defense is better than when they were at St Marys I don't think I've seen us lose at the Emirates with Mrs S Negatives A resonable chance we won't get anything from this We have no strikers that can both run and score Our defense is still capable of changing any score into a loss in the last few minutes I never saw us win there pre Mrs S Tactics Shaney and Charlie up front Shaney to run around with Charlie on his back and Charlie to jump off and kick the ball in the net at appropriate moments Play Maya Surely time to play Sam?
gunner be tricky i have never been to the emirates and i still wont have been folloiwng the game but i have always wanted to
Sadly, I can't see us getting than a draw and we'll do well to get that. Two nil to the Arsenal is my prediction. Not great for us, but what we don't want is for our relegation rivals to steal a march on us. Fulham at home is the big one.
Sunday 24th February 2019 14:05 Arsenal v Southampton Referee: Graham Scott Assistants: Mick McDonough, Neil Davies Fourth official: Chris Kavanagh
The home game proved that if we have a striker willing to run between their centre backs, and others who can hit decent crosses, there are chances to be had.
If we defend like we did against Chelsea we might be alright. If we defend like we did against Cardiff, it’ll be an absolute horror show. Maybe under Ralph, we’re genuinely better against the better teams? That’s the straw I’m clinging to anyway.
the last 3 games have killed the feel-good factor and a quick glance at the fixture list suggests we are in a whole world of ****. Good manager - but Ralph is managing footballers that are not good enough at this level and clearly struggle under pressure. i think we are probably going to lose 3 of the next 4 games so its not going to to be nice
