It's that last game of the season away at Old Trafford that worries me - can't see Ollie doing us any favours. Need to be at least 3 points clear in 17th or above going into that.

That last weekend, Southampton are at home to Huddersfield, and Brighton, Burnley, Palace and Fulham are also all playing at home.

I still think we will go down, I'm just over the moon that we are actually fighting and giving everyone around us squeaky bums - especially when the majority said we would go down with the record low points / not win a game all season and be relegated by Christmas.

So proud of everyone associated with the club.

Great effort all round.
Udders stuck on 11 points though.

No problem with that opinion Jay - a pessimist is seldom dissappointed, an optimist often is. <ok>

Looking at the next 2 fixtures at home to Watford and Everton, if we can get a couple of results and make a break, then we'd put an awful lot of pressure on those behind us. We don't want to be playing catch up - let them do the worrying. <ok>

Assuming Fulham and udders are gone, a win and a draw in the next 2 games and we become one of 6 for the final drop slot.
I'm sat in an office full of Scousers and 3 of the Evertonions I regularly speak to are not looking forward to the trip to ours.
The down side is no Niasse. Hope Ken hits his straps by then.

According to today's latest "super computer" predictions, Brighton will finish on 43 points and we will go down with 30 - no way we'll be that far apart.

Here's the "final table".........<doh>

Spot on matey <ok>

Just looking into that super computer projected final table I posted above.

As far as our away games go, we already have the 2 wins and 2 draws down as shown. I can't believe that means the computer predicts we are not going to pick up a single away point for the rest of the season.

OK, so we've still got the two Manchester clubs to visit, but we also go to Wolves, Brighton, Burnley and Fulham - surely we can pick up at least a couple of points from those four games. <doh>

If so, we'd be out of the predicted bottom three. Who makes this stuff up?

Who makes this stuff up?
They employ some spotty youths to play 'football manager'.

What they haven't factored in is the Colin effect, the Emi effect or the baying crowd effect.

There's another 3-4 points from that lot.

We've got some tough games ahead but I'm sure we've got one upset in us.

They are saying we'll only get 5 points in the next 12 games. We've got 6 in the last 2.:emoticon-0173-middl

Underdogs, where we like it.<nahnah>

What do we need to stay up? 38-39 points?

Which matches will we realistically expect points from assuming13-14 needed?

Watford, Everton, Palace and West Ham at home.

Brighton, Burnley and Fulham away.

I’ve written off Chelsea, Wolves, Liverpool and the 2 Mancs.

It’s the 4 home games above (with the 2 next coming over 5 days) which are vital.

The away trips to Brighton & Burnley are games to avoid defeat at least. Fulham is potentially our best shot.

As we’ve always said those dropped points v Huddersfield and Burnley may come back to haunt us.

ps.GD may be vital and bearing in mind we’ve got games v some teams who score for fun, that will mean an extra point needed.

35 may do it.
I'm with you. I think 10 points will see us safe.

We've already beaten wolves once. Don't think they like our style.
Chelski shipping goals for fun.
Then the games against teams around us are a flip of a coin.

3 wins and a draw. Eminently doable.

As long as I keep putting us down to lose in the prediction league we'll be fine.<doh>

According to that final table, we'll only pick up 5 points from our last 12 games - I'd be gutted if we were that poor.

It's not that it's just us who have difficult games. Look at Burnley - Tottenham, Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City amongst them (quite apart from us :emoticon-0105-wink:)

This also sees Liverpool as Champions by 7 points. While I would like to see that come to fruition (Liverpool always been a favourite team of mine since Toshack went there), it is a clear indication to me of some flaw in the system algorithm. Similarly, I see us doing better than shown here. Huddersfield to get only one more point?????

Think Everton are there for the taking. A few guys in work are not happy. They've won 2 of the last 12.

Curious predictions there JR. Just the 2 wins - both away to relegation rivals and no home wins?

If I take my precision League hat off I can see 4 points from our next 2 games.

March will be hard so 2 points

April 3 away games out of 4 but I still see at least 3 points

Think it could all down to Palace at home.
