Perhaps I worded it incorrectly but basically when the sellers and yanks colluded they effectively removed the Trust voting strength by " It was at this time that the reality of what the selling shareholders and buyers had agreed became fully clear. Whilst some previous shareholders retained a small stake in the football club, they had largely signed over their voting rights to the buyers. That meant that the buyers had control of over 75% of the voting rights of the football club. Along with the collusion and deception, it was particularly disappointing to see the levels to which our former business partners had stooped"
Taken from the Trust minutes of the forum meeting October 20, 2016
25% Shareholding would allow the Trust to block certain Resolutions. The Yanks have effective complete control

They sold our club away for not even the full value!!!..........................................:steam:

THE RESIGNATION OF HUW JENKINS FROM HIS POST AS CHAIRMAN ALLOWS SWANSEA CITY TO DRAW A LINE UNDER A DIFFICULT PERIOD IN THE CLUB’S HISTORY.
Everybody connected with the club appreciates what Huw has done for the club over the past 17 years. His part alongside the Supporters Trust and others in saving Swansea when the very real threat of extinction loomed will never be forgotten. Guiding the club to the Premier League and all the subsequent success enjoyed by the supporters was a huge achievement and there can be no doubting his passion and devotion to the club he has supported from childhood.

However, it has reached a stage where the way Swansea City has been run on a day-to-day basis has to change.

There can be no disguising the fact recruitment has been extremely disappointing for the past several transfer windows. It has left the club in a weakened position where strong action had to be taken to rectify the situation.

Hopefully this is an opportunity for a new chapter in the club’s development. It is an opportunity to rejuvenate, to bring in fresh methods of working and move forward with a strong decision-making process.

The search has begun for a leader of football operations who will work closely with the senior management team and Graham Potter and his backroom staff. This will be a team effort, using the undoubted skill sets needed to run a modern and functioning football club.

That search will be conducted in close co-ordination with the Trust, who have made clear their belief the club needed to change the way it operated specifically in terms of recruitment.

The club hope to make a swift appointment and will update supporters on the progress when there is more news.

This is a brilliant opportunity ...Good luck Huw and thank you for your loyalty to the swans...When you listen to the crap some are saying on here you would swear we were in non league football and not having been 7 years in the premiership and not 6 points from the playoffs in the championship/..<laugh> Spend your millions wisely this time Huw....

Bullshit! and nothing less! Jenkins hasn't walked away from the club just resigned as chairman losing one salary,

He is still Director of Two other companies:

SWANSEA STADIUM MANAGEMENT COMPANY LIMITED

SWANSEA STADIUM PREMIER CLUB LIMITED

He is a major shareholder and chairman of these two companies, together with the Morgan family, revenue, includes ticket fees, (Not ticketmaster who get a fee for the equipment), merchandising and cooperate functions

His Resignation is a PR stunt!, a poor little me job, bet the gullible buy it too,...............<ok>

'leader of football operations'

Landon Donovan? **** storm incoming..........................<laugh>

Phil - those 2 companies are subsidiaries of the Swans, neither Jenkins nor Morgan owns any shares in these companies.

Resignations take up to 5 days to process at Companies House once the paperwork has been received electronically.

<cheers>

Always remember Dai, we've got a litany of your anti-Jenkins ranting <ok>

Hi Phil - I’m saying that if he only resigned last night, then there’d be nothing on the Companies House site yet.

Of course, he may have stood down as Chairman but is going to remain a Director. On that basis, there’s nothing to file at Companies House <cheers>

this is only rumour, but from a good source, that Jenkins knows he ****ed up selling the club to the yanks and has tried with others twice in the last 6 months to buy the club back. only rumour.

I believe he’s known for a while - I heard that he was embarrassed by the way they (the owners) attempted to treat the Ospreys during the Lease negotiations.

I’ve not heard the attempted ‘buy-back’ rumours, but I can’t see the Yanks selling at a huge loss <cheers>
