If anyone didn't see it, know it, believe it or want to believe it before, no one can ignore it now.
This is the reality we find ourselves.
The owners believe they can make more profit by liquidating the clubs assets; selling its players, than it can through operating it as a football club; investing in the squad to make it more competitive.
put another way
A corporate purchaser, the Consortium, has sought out and discovered a company, Swansea City PLC, whose Assets, its playing squads, are more valuable individually than the company is as a whole.
or
The consortium purchased a business, Swansea City PLC, under economic conditions suggesting that the purchase price was far lower than the actual value of the business; old board sold us far too cheaply, making us a viable prospect for liquidating as profit as the profit was large enough as is, negating any need for future investment. In other words it was sold so cheap they dodn't have to do anything but cash in to make £ms.
or
We have been bought by ****ING ASSET STRIPPERS as a business purely for our wealth to be stripped and converted into profit through sale of players, converted into dividends to be extracted until nothing is left but a sun bleached carcass.
The only 'investment' involved in the whole process of transfer of ownership was the investment each member made into the consortium as a buy-in fee giving them access to the profits generated through the consortium asset stripping its investment portfolio. No investment of any kind has been made to or received by Swansea City PLC. The flow of money only pouring out of our club none in.
If you think its bad now just wait until the club has loans levied on it which increase revenue into the club so increasing the dividends going out of the club each year.
The cost cutting exercise being refereed to can be called something else, dividend maximization, a cost 'cut' reduces expenditure and again increases dividends. Costs aren't being cut because they are necessary to save the club, they are being cut to increase dividend returns and so the amount of money being extracted or bled from the club.
The only thing I see next summer is an image of the back of Potters head as he walks out the door for the last time, with a big group including Ollie, James, Fer, vdH, Connor, Olsson, Jo Rodon, Carter-Vickers, Routs, Nathan, Jeff the pocket rocket Monterro permanently, Carroll permanently, Ayew brothers permanently all sold or loaned or simply had their contracts run down and not renewed, all thrown out the door to feed the greed of the Asset Strippers that denied them and us the joy of playing for this amazing club.
