The Danish defender is a regular in “worst XIs to have ever played for Liverpool” so who are we to disagree?
Graeme Souness signed Piechnik just weeks before the inception of the Premier League and he managed 16 league appearances in the 1992/93 campaign.
Liverpool fans did have a chant for him that went “Torben Piechnik, Teddy Bears’ Picnic” but he made just one appearance in his second campaign and he will go down as one of the worst players to have ever played for the club.

I wish I hadn't, he was awful. Summed up Souness as a manager, he did not have a clue.

1. Name
2. He was clearly masquerading as a pro footballer
cannot remember what he looked like nor any incidents involving him at all . Its like my memory has had a very slightly unsuccessful memory cleanse .

I think "play" may be exaggerating his contribution somewhat

Itanje was unpopular because of his disrespect during the minutes silence... But he was free and I think we had worse keepers.
Diego Cavalieri was pretty awful too from similar time frame.
I seem to recall we had lots of bad keepers over the years (more bad ones than good ones) and most we paid for.
