It would be madness. So Nantes is out £15m (their entire squad is valued at £85m) just so an insurance company saves money on paying out?
Then you'd hope the money is paid by the insurance company, NOT Cardiff.
Frankly I don't see it having much impact on Cardiff in footballing terms. They're almost certain to be relegated anyway and financially will still receive huge payments from the PL.

Most football transfers are done on instalments, so I'd think it'd be gentlemanly to refund what has been paid and not ask for any future instalments.
Its hardly fair for Nantes to expect Cardiff to stump up the cash for a player who is no longer alive.

If he wasn’t a Cardiff player he wouldn’t have been on the plane

Well not to sound Callous, but surely as he hasn't played a game for Cardiff, Nantes will have to refund the money or wont be expecting Cardiff to pay any instalments.

I dunno. maybe insurance.

it's something I don't recall happening in Europe in a long time.

there was that south American side.

Watching the debate as not much on and just relaxing. Clearly running out of context as they’re debating the use of the word gaffa/boss instead of first name and making big deal out of <laugh>
