Makes you wonder if we have done RK a dis-service. He joined when Les could do no wrong and it must have been difficult to move him on. Who's inspired decision was it to get Ralph Has - was that RK, perhaps he now deserves some plaudits after the criticism over the last two years
Actually that is probably about right. I'm not defending the ref though. The problem with extra time is that refs pull it out of their ass. You can always add up the actual amount of stoppage and justify a long injury time, because the truth is most of the time you would need to add ten minutes. On the other hand, you can also slate any long injury time because they seldom award much more than 5. The whole thing is just silly and needs to be redone. We have VAR. How hard is it to have a person watching video with a stop watch keeping track of pauses?
We aren't the only team that had managers that didn't work out. A manager can look promising for one team and not another. Puel did ok if not exciting (and even he had a cup final), so really just Pellegrino and Hughes (so 1.5 seasons). Ralph really looks like our type of manager....be nice if we can even keep him for the term of his contract. Stop it, Fran...just enjoy the moment.
Ralph’s don’t grow on trees you know Let’s congratulate Ralph on getting it right this time and say the others were Les’s idea
I thought the ref was generous in adding four minutes on, but the other 4 and a bit was just fantasy. Seriously, when he finally stopped the game for Long’s injury, there was barely 30 seconds of the four minutes remaining. All he needed to do was stop his watch, then restart it and play out the final few seconds. Or have I got it wrong?
The whole team today were superb but special mentions to Stephens, bednarek, PEH, JWP and Redmond. Ralph continues to engrain himself on my heart
It shows that in this the división the gap between top and the bottom is not that great compared to the PL top 6 and the rest. PS: We should cheer on all local teams as it is great when success arrives in the Solent área, a part of the country that is not akin to being blessed with a continuum of sporting success in the major sports of football, rugby or cricket.
