Bloody hell talk about fake news, compare May to October to see the effects of the summer heatwave.

Compare May when all the fields are full of crops growing, in particular the oil seed rape which is in full flower (that's the yellow stuff) as opposed to October when all the crops have been harvested and the land cultivated.

'Fake news' typically applies to news that is fake. I take it you don't have a lawn and/or have completely forgotten last summer.

JUST LISTENING TO Jeff Stelling... East Fife v Inverness... he said 'I hope that unknown players name' doesn't have to be substituted in the first half again this week, to go to Macdonalds to fix the chip fryer in Macdonalds....

And the land had basically recovered by October

Presumably he lives in the Balkans and has no idea what it was like here last summer, or he wouldn’t have posted what he did.

I would have posted what I did no matter where I live. Agriculture has been my business for over 40 years, even in the Middle East an aerial shot of farm land 1 month before harvest would show colour and a picture 1 month after would be more plain and bland looking.

Having said that I was in the UK for quite a lot of last summer and for sure vegetation growth was seriously affected by the lack of rain fall, my point was that the pictures could mislead some people.

Maybe this is a more accurate representation.

One of my all time favourite films. Must have watched it at least 10 times over the years.

When I lived in South Africa for a couple of years in the 60's I visited the actual battle site with my previous husband. Little to see unfortunately -the film wasn't made there but in the neighbourhood.
