Don't see us rushing him or taking any risks, but what a massive boost his return would be towards the end of the season
Yeah definitely, I have full faith Klopp will only bring him back when he's at a level to contribute, if he can get there before the end of the season and be available as an option it will be a massive boost.

He was very unlucky with the timing of his injury too, CL semi and starting to look like a real player for us at the time, hopefully we can get him back there for the CL final<whistle>

Just read that The Ox is due back into training in February / March so cake here to provide the update only to find its already been done...

Anyway, what I was going to say was; how much pressure is that lad going to feel when he returns if we're still top and undefeated?

He's outdoor running now. I sincerely doubt there's any pressure on him if we are top and undefeated come late march. He will want to get back for CL QF :bandit:

He's many hurdles to pass first like contact training etc etc.

I didn't mean pressure from others, I meant pressure from himself to get back in the side.

Although, if we are top and the title race is still on, he'll be feeling the pressure to perform

he will get the same medal for 9mins as 9games... isn't it still min 10 games to get an official.medal?

klopp will throw one at him anyway.

No, that got abolished the day they introduced 25 man squads (unless it's a youngster that doesn't need to be named)

If he can get back to the level he was at before his injury, then he will have no troubles getting back into this side.

There will be a big mental hurdle to overcome - will he pull out of challenges, will he be able to sprint at full pelt without worrying about another injury?

Liverpool injury list Long-term Joe Gomez Joel Matip Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Short-term Jordan Henderson Adam Lallana Virgil van Dijk Unknown Dejan Lovren

Liverpool’s ‘big chance’ Liverpool’s situation was perhaps summed up best by former defender Jamie Carragher. clearly carragher is [HASHTAG]#smalltime[/HASHTAG].

Just read that Matip is back in full training...

Bad news is our CBs partnership will be slightly weaker than yesterday's...

Good news is the midfield will be stronger worth Fabinho in it...

Makes for a better team though

Hardly a lot more games. A few more at best depending on CL developments

spurs will have played 3 more if they continue in league cup... add at least 1 more in fa cup and their draw suggests at least 2 more.

cl. who knows.

so 5.min more.

city are also going to play at least 5 more.

So five? As I said, not loads, it's a few.

I think five for spurs is a lot whereas for city particularly with their draws it not much but it could get up to 8-9 games more with just FA cup day we crash out of CL could be looking at what 15 games difference so it could be a fair few

I wasn't really thinking about Spurs tbh. I think they'll miss Son [HASHTAG]#bestplayer[/HASHTAG]

Yeah
Like son
Not played well today but generally great team player
I still think it City then us then spurs but I still think anything could happen
Think all three still in it and anyone who doesn’t expect Everton and Utd to absolutely run through the proverbial brick wall to damage our chances is seriously deluded
