From both a football and business point of view, there is no sense in selling Dan James for £2.5 million.

That's not what Leigh Dineen said.
He said we didn't have the £500k increase in fee, no matter the £6m..
You have to add what the demands are on top of the transfer fee......We dodged a bullet there...
The question was put to Dineen why we would not increase our bid by the 500k to get a player Potter wanted, Dineen tweeted back that we never had the 500k increase let alone the 6m transfer fee. So we were never in the running to sign him.
