someone should take Burton out back and shoot them...it's the kindest thing to do 8 nil and 18 minutes to go ... no way is the scoring finished.
Well done mate, youve still got it Glad they didn't get 10 Commentator 'they won't be satisfied until they get 10, they will want to send a message out to those teams coming to the Eithad' Burton are in the 3rd division
Turns out Ramsey has agreed a deal with Juventus and will be their second-highest paid player behind C.Ronaldo. His wages are (net) £140k a week, which, in the Prem, would be £280k p/w pre-tax. That's excluding the huge signing-on bonus he will get too... And people wonder why Emery didn't want to keep hold of him . Ramsey has split opinion throughout his time at Arsenal. I've said this before that, on paper, he looks exceptional. 28 years old, 10 years at Arsenal, made over 350 appearances for us at the top level, highest goalscoring central midfielder in the club's history, won 3 FA Cups and scored the winner in 2 of those finals, captain of his national team, won Player of the Season twice... If you're basing it purely on statistics and reputation, you'd think we're losing a world-class midfielder. Unfortunately, that is far from being the reality. He is inconsistent, scores in patches and then goes missing for lengthy periods, has no positional discipline, tries too many fancy skills, slows our play down because of how long he takes to release the ball and his decision-making in the final third is erratic at best. Is he a good, useful player to have in your team? Of course he can be. But is he worth offering wages almost comparable with Ozil, who is already earning far too much as it is? Not a chance in hell. He has always been professional and got on with his job. And he will forever be a part of our club's history. There can be no doubt about that. However, he simply isn't worth keeping for the money Juventus will be paying him. I wish him all the best. But there are a plethora of talented, energetic midfielders across Europe that we can get who will offer more than Aaron. My only frustration is that we didn't sell him in the Summer when it became apparent that negotiations had broken down. Annoying to lose yet another player on a free because of the previous regime's ineptitude.
The thing I couldn't help but notice with Ramsey during the Euros is that he seemed to be playing in a different match to his teammates in every single game as at no point did he ever seem to be in the position he needed to be in any phase of play, which is something that can be excused if it's a youngster making their first start and trying to do everything they can to impress, not so much for somebody who'd been playing regularly in the Premier League and national team for five years by that point
Could be worse (a lot worse) . You could have wanted him to stay, he said he would, and then did all the above anyway ...
Unai Emery... "We cannot sign permanently. We can only loan players." Oh dear, that is unfortunate...maybe we could loan them Vinnie?
