    True Romance.

I'm literally astounded at how many people haven't seen it, probably because it sounds like a chick flick.

Watching Dirty Rottten Scoundrels atm, another great comedy.

I used to watch Moviedrome with Alex Cox, 2 movies that I remember being really good were Dead Ringers with Jeremy Irons playing twin brothers, and Ace in the Hole, an early Kirk Douglas film.

Black hawk down is okay just about. Can't take Josh hartnett as a soldier seriously tbh.

Of recent war films I can think of that heartbreak ridge was a good watch. True story and does that shindlers list thing at the end. Very good tbh

Dunkirk was god awful, and a Christopher Nolan movie right? Odd cos I like his movies usually.

There was a fair bit of media controversy stirred up in London
when it was released (the gang culture/violence - harking back to the
    Clockwork Orange debacle) .

Which meant all the blokes in my yard went to see it
(I saw it in 1982 as a teen - home video era) .

    1. Ran (1985) .

    Kurosawas' take on King Lear.
Beautifully shot, and the actress who played Lady Kaede was superb
    (what an utter b*tch !!! :) ) .

    2. The emerald forest (1986)

    The John Boorman eco tale.
Point made without being typical luvvie "right on" .
