Not sure it is good, Sylla has been an under- utilised goal scorer with us. 17 goals from 28 starts, during just over 2 years says it all. Except for the big smile!

I agree. He’s something of an enigma because his strike rate is, as you say, pretty reasonable. One just can’t help thinking that if he applied himself more fully he’d tear this division up.
18 goals in 58 apps . Not really tearing it up as a centre forward is he . Also his overall contribution is pretty poor . Bet his assists are non existent . Yes can finish , but overall contribution , movement , work rate etc not good . We are a better side with out him in it ! Fact !
Never saw him as a particularly good finisher myself. Think the problem is his attitude, it's no coincidence successive managers haven't rated him.
Sylla is one of the highest earners at the club. The one position where we actually have decent cover. By letting him go and freeing up his wages gives the club some room to manouver in the transfer market.
Seems David Mc confirms an attitude issue. I do find that strange. You're a professional getting paid a shed load. What attitude should there be other than gratitude and application?! Oh well.
Sylla confirmed as gone. My lasting memory of him will was standing right behind the goal as he headed our winner v Fulham away. Jordan Mutch is available ... anyone?
Even if we could. No. Apparently we can replace players who leave with someone on 75% or less of the wage along with no transfer or signing fee. My guy Oteh will be even more needed now.
I wouldn’t say he didn’t try. He was just an utterly clueless maniac who sometimes looked like he was brand new to the sport.
Doesn't really open the door for a decent incoming player. Thought he might have been one of the last on a contract that was too good for him. I know some people's opinion was that he had that anyway!!
