Not sure it is good, Sylla has been an under- utilised goal scorer with us. 17 goals from 28 starts, during just over 2 years says it all. Except for the big smile!

He is injured, currently. Cannot see him going, with injury and suspensions coming up...we will need all the CDs we can get... especially as we cannot sign any more until the summer.

I agree. He’s something of an enigma because his strike rate is, as you say, pretty reasonable. One just can’t help thinking that if he applied himself more fully he’d tear this division up.

Never saw him as a particularly good finisher myself. Think the problem is his attitude, it's no coincidence successive managers haven't rated him.
Sylla is one of the highest earners at the club. The one position where we actually have decent cover.
By letting him go and freeing up his wages gives the club some room to manouver in the transfer market.

Sylla confirmed as gone. My lasting memory of him will was standing right behind the goal as he headed our winner v Fulham away.

Doesn't really open the door for a decent incoming player. Thought he might have been one of the last on a contract that was too good for him. I know some people's opinion was that he had that anyway!!
