Gizza cigI hold my hands up, Reading and Sheff Utd both sacked him before this point, and I would have done same 6 weeks ago. Southamptonnand Scunny didn’t and he brought them success.

I look forward to someone pointing me in the direction of a management book that suggests being anything other than positive and upbeat.
"Whinging and Grumping Your Way To Success" by Mark Hughes, perhaps?
I don't think it was me but I said all along that I wasn't a fan of Adkins. That said, I am a realist and he has proven me wrong. I think those who were putting blind faith in him were wrong but that's human nature I suppose. Seeing Toral and Dicko doing well again is enough for me, my sticking point was that though we have a thin squad, there were still players there that could be used with the right coaching and it seems like thats happening now.Apologies if this has been done to death, but I don't get on here so much these days and might have missed the (presumably ongoing) conversation about Nige.
Thing is, it seems only a few weeks since one or two on here were saying he should be sacked, and I got into an argument with them over this.
I can't remember who it was, but I'm just wondering what their thoughts are now. I'd say my assertion at the time, that they were massive clown shoes, has been borne out.
Yeah?
I just don't listen to his interviews any more, it helpsI know I’m not the first to have said it - but why does anyone give a **** what Adkins says in interviews? They are just stage managed nonsense anyway, and bear zero relation to the actual football.
I think he’s done an admirable job. I think Elphick and Campbell have played a big part in our revival too, alongside the manager and coaching staff. Good role models.
Does anyone actually fall for this lads ****?I don't think it was me but I said all along that I wasn't a fan of Adkins. That said, I am a realist and he has proven me wrong. Please explain whats wrong with what I wrote thereDoes anyone actually fall for this lads ****?
What's that about blind faith? Maybe, only maybe, people knew more about football than you? Please explain whats wrong with what I wrote there

Your one of the better posters on here. About 2 months back everybody was calling for Adkins head. Those people are probably like me, pleasantly surprised. The few that were supporting him were doing it on blind faith/head in the sand syndrome. I don't see whats wrong with saying that at all. What's that about blind faith? Could happen and it clearly had happened![]()

I wouldn't say it was 'blind faith'. It was more a case of knowing that he's a good manager, making the best of bad situation.Your one of the better posters on here. Deffo not "Blind Faith"... possibly a resurrection from a previous life neverthelessI wouldn't say it was 'blind faith'. It was more a case of knowing that he's a good manager, making the best of bad situation.
Villa did with Elphick didn’t they? (Or was it just an early notice?)RH just played an Adkins interview with Gwilym and he said...
It wasn't necessarily the end for Keane, you never know, there's always the possibility of a recall.
Also that Fletcher hadn't appeared for Boro this season.
You'd think he'd know that you can no longer recall a loan player outside a transfer window and Fletcher's made eleven appearances for Boro so far this season.

CheersThey recalled him in the January transfer window, they just told us they were doing it before the window and we decided not to play him.
