Got a carer coming in mornings to get him up, washed and dressed. Then again in reverse in the evening. My Aunt is down for a couple of weeks now to give me a break from it all. My old dear is slowly getting her mobility back, but I still think this is going to end up with him going into residential care in the long term

That’s better then mate, at least it’s no longer all falling to you bud <ok>

Been physically, mentally and emotionally draining and I'm ****ing glad for a break from it all for a few days. Just can't help feeling guilty that I'm probably going to end up having to arrange for him to go into care, but long term it's for the best for him, and the rest of the family. Life can be cruel sometimes, but you just have to crack on with it.

On another note does anyone know if permit areas which are Monday-Friday apply on bank holidays?

Edit : just seen Mon-Fri

Dunno really, I think most local councils have different rules on this. Try parking there, if you get a ticket then you'll know you <ok>

I've got a ticket mate, I'm not sat at the wheel of my car waiting for advice from not606 before parking <doh>

Probs not worth trying to contest it mate. If they've given you a ticket, then it means you can't park there on a bank holiday.

Yeah apparently it varies from council-to-council. Westminster for example is free but can't find nothing on Soton.
