No. Do you ?? < WUM wannabee - must try harder > "Poch seemed like he would be happy to answer until the PO stepped in." And like today, his reply would have been : I don't comment on "rumours" . As it has been for umpteen months on various topics. < Spurs sports news "understands" your WUM wannabee behaviour in the face of the utter sh*te shambles that is Man Utd post Fergie. >
Whatever helps you sleep mate, he has got form for breaking contracts though if a better offer comes along. Just for the record, I don't expect us to go for him but have no idea who we will go for. It is fun watching you lot get all shirty about it though
Poor Diego if Poch is your hope for next year you're gonna be disappointed poch hates the press and loves to wind em up and the spurs press officer is now joining in with the banter .have a good Christmas mate .POCHETTINO HE'S TOTTENHAM YOU KNOW
I don’t think you can read too much into the ambiguity about the United job at our press conferences - since Poch has been at the club he has almost always trotted out the ‘rumours’ line every time a question about transfers or his situation comes up. He never comments on anything until there has been an official announcement from the club, not even the Redknapp classic “well we’re looking at two or three and we’ll see what we can get over the line in the next few days” when asked about a player who we announce as being signed within 24 hours. I think Levy wants everything on his terms and this extends to the communications around players, staff, stadium timelines etc. The ambiguity gives the press less to work with than any concrete statement, he also gets Poch to hide behind the language barrier, something our manager has done cleverly since his Southampton days despite not really needing to. Poch hates the hacks and is more than happy to play along. We’ve seen it all before to the point where we can almost predict his answers, about never commenting on rumours, or his favourite - in football, all things are possible. Ultimately unless he breaks form at a press conference you can’t read anything useful into it until there is an official announcement, something that has both gladdened and frustrated us Spurs fans for a number of years.
Not as much fun as watching Diego go full WUM wannabee gobshite AWOL for weeks, as the Jose led Man Utd meltdown 2018-19 played out. The pharma/psychiatric industry are deeply indebted to Spurs that the hack sh*t-stirring + 2-5 at Cardiff means that Diego can get to sleep normally for the first time in 4 months.
Google translate (p*ss-poor WUM wannabee to English) ... processing ... done. It is quite sad watching me get cogently slapped down and deluding myself that cogent response is getting "all shirty about it" .
People just do not understand the type of 'believer' that MP is. He wouldn't even say he will definitely be at Spurs next week because one doesn't know what lies round the corner. He has a contract and that should be enough. I don't believe the hacks would let go, even if the club did say something. And we all know examples of clubs coming out and giving full backing to their manager and sacking him two weeks later. There are no guarantees and as usual hacks like to weaken us for all the reasons already mentioned. Just like they tried to appoint 'Arry to the England job and destabilized the team.
I don't think you understand how scheming Pochettino is. That is because you do not have the "special" intelligence of people like Diego. < FACT >
It's really not a question of the press shutting up. It's just a question of what bullshit about the club you want as background noise. Personally, I'm tiring of the made up bullshit about the stadium 'disasters' and our failure to pay contractors we don't employ or paying twice for someone to clear up the litter around the stadium. Whatever limits that 'stuff' is good for me. Frankly, a period of "Mauricio Pochettino to United" is like taking off a pair of brand new shoes that are half a size too small. MP thinks the whole thing is hilarious judging by his recent press conferences. I guess it makes a change from "You haven't won anything" and "When's Harry Kane going to sign for Real Madrid?" A change is as good as a rest for me.
Every Press conference you think that's ok? Spurs don't want the press conferences to be about the **** team in Manchester...why is that difficult to understand?
The gossip today is Allegri as potential Man Utd target. Given the low likelihood of that happening, just shows you feeble and gossipy the current hack generation is.
Just a thought: how long before Paul Gait and Elaine Kirk sue the papers for splashing their names and faces across the front pages over the Gatwick drone fiasco?
When the solicitors are open on Wednesday morning I'd guess. Although I'd have thought the 39% ambulance chasers would have already been there.
The Wail's started 2019 in fine form, running a story about a "somewhat well known" mystery footballer in his 30s who was pulled over for doing 125mph on the M25 - and they're saying it has to be a Spurs, Arsenal or Watford player as the part of the M25 they were pulled over in is near their training grounds Just a suggestion: it's a footballer who can afford the sort of vicious lawyer who can keep their name out of the papers and also put up a smokescreen, for example the 33 year-old DC United striker Wayne Rooney. Or, if I want to go for full Cease & Desist, I'll point out that there's certainly one footballer in their 30s who plays for one of those clubs and definitely own the model of car shown in the photos... please log in to view this image
A story addressing some hacks: https://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/being-spursy-even-a-thing-anymore "Spursy has become a meaningless catch-all term, applied every time Tottenham don’t win, whatever the circumstances and whoever the opposition." Yep.
Spursy in the Pochettino era has a more precise (but still unpleasant) definition for me. That definition is at least consistent, and (as the article states) is having ever decreasing opportunities to use it in anger.
