Oh I've no problem with him wanting to leave / move on etc. That is fine!

I DO have a problem with the amount of times he's gone to the press whinging about his contract this season given the season we've had. Certainly more than once, whinging about a move to Stoke / Boro going wrong.

Hardly good for the dressing room etc and he's not been very good this season. Shut up springs to mind.

Players rarely go to the press, generally they get asked questions. So similar to the Lambert thing the problem isn’t with Jonas, it’s that you don’t like people telling the press the truth.

In my view, what should be happening right now is somebody admitting that we’re up the creek without a paddle.

You know what I'm saying christ alive it's always a battle. Alright, lets go that way, he couldn't wait to go blabbing about his contract.

I prefer everything internal but I get the fact you'd rather all our dirty laundry be aired to the world - I guess we have different views on the press and that's never going to change.

I prefer McCarthy / Lambert keeping things internal.

You prefer Keane / Hurst telling the world everything about ITFC.

That's fair enough, that's your prerogative.

Oh for sure we're up a creek without a paddle right now - however not sure the benefit in someone saying this to the press!?

You're right about the Delaney shout Westy, I never thought he would last in the Championship let alone see out several years in the Prem so maybe someone will take a punt on him ? Lets face it in Prem terms the money involved is peanuts to find out.
Promising young player ? Can't see it myself as there's been no improvement from him for a long while, I 'll get your hat and coat for you Jonas, shut the door on your way out.

It's all about balance...no one wants a Mourinho ho slates his players in public week in week out, but we also don't want a manager that every week claims the team are doing brilliant, and what a great bunch of lads they are who are giving 100%....if they were doing brilliant, we wouldn't be where we are.
Time and a place for airing your sh!t in public.

This is on the money for me stretchy. I do feel like we are in such a state that a few cages need rattling now.

I believe so too, but is it really worth flogging a dead donkey? If the players really are doing their best, then slating them won't really help.

I don’t think slating helps but being objective does. I would say in the heat of a post match interview is not the time for naming names but apart from that there’s no benefit to sugar coating things. Talk about the positives but talk about the wasted chances and defensive errors as well and it might put a rocket up some arses.

Back to SD's earlier post on past players, eye-watering to look down that list! Andros Townsend comes to mind, SD, didnt he play on the wing? What a talent he was...pulling up trees and going round Towers now at top level of his game!

Keane sent him back because he couldn't displace Colin Healy from our team

I remember getting Alan Mahon? On loan. Thought he was a fantastic winger and we should have signed him permanently. Other loan wingers of note - Fraser & Lawrence, although we had no chance of getting these players on a permanent deal

We've had a few good loan players, Williams, Fraser, Lawrence, Celina, Townsend, Gio......we didn't own any of them though and were never likely to spend the amount needed to secure any on a permanent. The post was drawing attention to what we've actually had on contract during the Evans era and to be honest, it makes poor reading!

Christ Alan Mahon was absoltuely superb for us - just didn't have a penny back then. Poor Royle! The £150k we didn't have for Ricardo Fuller was the final straw that broke his back.

Townsend with Keane - how dare you play well on the wing and be exactly what we need - back you go! I always remember Palace away, we won 2-1, and Townsend got a silly red for kicking a player in the head!

    Fraser another quality loanee.

As for our OWN winger - actual good winger - HMMM. Carson looked very promising early on, but I cannot trump that. Nada.

Just thought of a potential factor for tomorrows games - alcohol.

Anyone thinking every player of every club is going to be a good little boy tonight is sadly mistaken! With us - Chambers good.... but the likes of Chalobah - crikey I can imagine him out until 5am.

New years day throws up a couple of seriously weird results every single year and I expect a shocker or two around tomorrow.

It's been the story of Evans' level of investment recently. He just won't pay the going rate for the creative players needed to service the strikers to score the goals needed to win games. He also consistently dilutes the squad by selling the best we have and replacing with a poorer version.

You can't expect to stay competitive in a league where (just like the prem) more money is spent every transfer window and spend less each year yourself. Hurst spent more in one window than Mick ever did but that was only because he decimated the squad of all the assets to fund it. He still spent considerably less than the amount received and that is the norm at ITFC and so finally we are now not at the level to compete in the championship any more.

Evans likes to charge London prices at a rural club but only put league one investment into it and expects fans to turn up regardless. Sooner he ****s off the better.

Well - that may be true re Evans - however his networth ( from memory ) is around £900 mill. Now people may say ' put this in that in ' - it's his money I suppose and he will do with it what he sees fit. Without Evans having bought the club in late 2007............ and say no one else had come in.......... we'd be an absolute trainwreck of a club and would 100% have gone down to league 1 years ago. So we must be thankful to Evans to some degree - wasn't exactly a queue of buyers coming in. It's also not Evans fault how many other wealthy owners there are who buy clubs etc and the cost going up all the time....

Would you want to lose a decent %%% of your personal fortune? In my opinion buying a football club is a bloody mugs game and a massive loss leader unless you're in the top division.

Look at Chansiri at Sheffield Wednesday - put in around £80 mill in three years and apparently wants to sell!

Other side of the coin - the lack of investment clearly isn't helping us compete one jot. Football is absolutely broken though and I do not really have a solution. Unless some other wealthy person comes along and invests - no guarantee of success - ie Sheffield Wednesday above................ then what do we do?

I'm not his biggest fan either San Diego - but it's not the easiest thing ever.

Plenty of attacking minded players in the side. We will definitely create some chances. But Millwall will come at us. 0-0?
