I'm not expecting any of the current squad to go in England in January........However I expect there will have been agreement for some if not all of the loanees to be sold either January or summer........Which will give us the manoeuvrability to bring maybe one or two in for January.
Likely to be a huge turn round in the summer perhaps. A few contracts are up maybe up to five out from England and 3 in..........You've heard it here first............<laugh>

Don't forget we've already spent £20m of next season's transfer budget.

It will be hard to sell the players we actually want to sell so who we actually replace will depend on what offers we get. People should have learned from Forster that just because you want to sell them and the club want to sell them that doesn't mean they will easily go.

Sure I have read that funds are available if required......our problem is that we have a full squad and need to sell/loan out to free up squad places.

Our main issue is wages I would imagine, one of the highest out of the 14 other teams and nothing to show we deserve to be.
We want to gut a few average players whilst filling the squad with youngsters we deem good enough. Allowing a few key players to be brought in

Urgently need (in order of importance):

Centre back
Right Back
Winger
Striker
Left back

Still not convinced.

I understood we wanted to try before you buy, if you catch my drift. On account of his knackered knees of yesteryear.

But all the reports said the loan will become permanent at the end of the season. If we wanted to see how he was surely we wouldn't have agreed to that? Put in an agreed price sure, but not guarantee the transfer before he has kicked a ball for us.

The only argument I can see where you could argue that it wasn't because we didn't have the money this year is that because we went after him with only a few hours left of the window a loan deal is easier to get done as there is less involved in a loan deal than a permanent transfer. So we did the loan as we didn't have time for the full transfer. That is probably a little far fetched as well so the only conclusion I can come to is that we didn't have the £20m available last summer (we should have as we, again, only spent what we received in transfer fees but that is a different argument)

Ings signed on loan because it was such a last minute deal.

Nothing to do with not having the money etc.

We would not be paying a full 20M upfront either. More likely to be 4M per season. And add ons for goals etc

We will have money from January as I could see 3 moving on, possibly 4 if there is a buyer for Hoedt.
Wages and j would say circa 20M to spend from sales could be believable.

Apparently Real want shot of Isco for around about the 100m mark. Reckon we could stretch to that? If we have a whip round?

So I’ve been informed the following

Outs
McCarthy
Cedric
Hoedt
Gabbi
Davis

Ins - on black box radar
Mukiele
Malcuit
Maja
Lookman
Poulsen

From a guy called cabbage face on Saints Web

Getting rid of McCarthy and not getting a replacement would be ****e.
I also reckon we might need an extra squad CM if Davis is going and Hojbjerg wants to play the hero with his tackles every game, but I’d understand if that’s not our priority.

Well it wouldn't surprise me under Ralph if we recall Forster as a number 2 due to lack of interest, or we bring through a kid.
