Hopefully Valery and Targett get forward a lot. A part of me is concerned that three CBs, plus Romeu in front, is a touch too negative against Huddersfield. Lowest scorers in the league, without a single league goal amongst their strikers. And not a particularly porous defence either (although not a brilliant one either).

Hopefully the fullbacks will be staying forward more. but i imagine the plan is to let them play it around in front of us without success, press them and nick it. similar to against arsenal as both play possession games but hopefully with them not being as good in front of goal!

I know it’s early days but I thought JWP would have been right up the Hutts street. Also, with so many defenders on there’s no room for Gabbi. Thought he’d get more of a chance too. But I guess with us being so bad at the back makes sense to try and solidify that a bit first to help get some points on the board. Big game today. Hope the boys are prepared to do a lot of hard work on and off the ball.

We have to assume that he's going with the players that have impressed in training but I think that JWP and Gabbi's personalites make them easier to not select too.

I said against Arsenal that I completely understood Long and Austin getting picked on the bench ahead of Gabbi (they offer so much more from the bench than Gabbi). But for Obafemi to also be picked ahead of him here suggests to me that we'll be saying goodbye to Gabbi next month. I just hope it's not on loan - I'm kind of getting fed up with us just loaning players out.

(It's why I was interested with who Ralph has chosen to leave out. If it's right that we need to sell before we buy next month - whether because we need the money, or because we want to cut down on the squad size - that players who aren't getting a look in under Ralph are surely the leading candidates to be sold.)

Don’t get that at all, particularly about JWP. Always been hard-working, which I would have thought would appeal to Ralph.
