Yes. As it's a vote of confidence in Theresa May specifically, and not the Government. A vote of confidence in the Government has to be given time. Essentially clever politics from Labour trying to capitalise on, and exacerbate, Tory divisions, instead of actually trying to bring about a change of Govt.
Thank you for explaining that. Understand now. Cheers

Brought by the man who lost an overwhelming vote of no confidence in him by his own party and ignored it, truly a man of impeccable principles...
He really has had a nightmare with this. I have been listening to so many on radio/Tv and all say he has shot himself in the foot.

Yet another example of the bias against brexit in mainstream TV.

Totally agree Col. Today I was painting my kitchen so I had TV on. I commented in a post this morning regarding how many remainers they had on. It was 3-1. And as usual the Brexitiers got most stick from the presenters.

However out of all of that I did see a 24yr old who gave an amazing argument for Brexit and people his age. They should draft him in as he came across competent and honest.

Yes you are quite right it’s a simple black or white question with no shades of grey, and it goes right back to the actual referendum and it’s as follows
Black / Remain in the European Union ?
White / Leave the European Union ?
As I recall there were no other questions on the ballot paper, they couldn’t have made it any simpler if they tried and before people start whining and whinging just remember what Cameron said,
“ a vote to leave means leave the customs union and leave the single market “
Now remember that statement was made in the Houses of Parliament BEFORE the ballot papers were even printed, so before the remainers start saying once again we (the leavers) didn’t know what we were voting for, YES WE DID, the same way remainers knew that they were voting to stay in the EU.
So in answer yes it is a simple black or white issue unfortunately a weak remainer leader has clouded the picture with 50 shades of grey ITS THAT SIMPLE.
Agree with all that until you come to your rousing encore. Where we part company is that I lose you and everyone else who is on your side when you come up with this traitorous Machiavellian scheming . There's always a scapegoat - in your case it is everyone else who does not share your vision of Utopia. It was 2 years ago. We've all moved on. You may be right in your innate belief that TM did her damndest to thwart Brexit from day one. However you've had 2 years in which to realise your mistakes. You had a majority of those willing to stand with the People (or at least just the right side of 50% of them) and were totally complicit in the £39 million give away. Those of you on here called her a weak bitch , a Remoaner and even a traitor, Yet it's only a few months ago when Chequers was announced and ditched that your brave leaders started to resign and meet in dark corridors. Until then Johnson, Gove, Fox and most importantly of all Davies had supported her every decision Even then none of them felt the call of the British people for their Churchillian moment when they could step forward, be counted and come to the rescue of the nation in its darkest hour. The reason for this that the demagogues and rabble rousers know well that whet they want is impossible and a disaster. They have manipulated the decision to suit their own political and financial ends but don't want to be the ones who deliver So let's get behind TM they say- she has just spoken without any confidence so far. If that were the sole reason for her failure simple, Boris - he has bags of confidence and believes in his own rhetoric. So does JRM. As you are looking for someone to blame I suggest you look a lot closer. This was supposed to be simple after all.

Given that the Tories are utterly incapable of delivering the Brexit you want, either accept what's on offer or ask the people once again to tell you what they want. I still can't see given your unerring belief that more than 50% of the People will support you in standing firm and simply walking away why you would not welcome a second Referendum. If I had your confidence in the outcome of a second ballot, I'd be joining those on the Remain side calling for that option

We don't need to ask people again... been and gone. Amazing how people like you always knock and belittle leavers but for all your long post you are just a remoaner.
Dream on with your "losers vote" because it aint happning.

If that's a clever Labour move, I'd hate to see a bad one! It's faltered and achieved nothing that I can see. And Corbyn is scared of a vote of no confidence in the government, because if, as is likely, it fails, Labour is committed to pressing for a second referendum. Corbyn doesn't want this because (a) he's essentially Eurosceptic and (b) he'll alienate a lot of Labour voters in the North that voted Leave. So stalemate at present, meanwhile the government prepares for a managed move to WTO which has to be the right solution imo.

Let’s be honest they are all idiots
Revolution required
will there be a free and honest press for the sheep after the revolution

State-owned TV channel in France censors anti-Macron sign during live broadcast. Original sign said “Macron dégage,” meaning “Macron get lost,” but when it was broadcast on Saturday it was amended to read simply “Macron”. France 3 claims "human error".

Am I really hearing the news right today? The "government" have 3,500 troops on standby to help out in the event of a no-deal. FFS, we're going to need double that just as Border Guards, let alone to quell any uprisings that may occur in the queues for food, medicine or whatever the idiots think need protecting. Think I've had enough of this Brexit bollocks now. These ****s couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery let alone run a country - every single MP should be put up against the wall and shot, replaced with real people who understand what the WHOLE country wants (and needs). I'm beyond caring whether we remain or leave now, Mays deal, Norway, WTO - whatever, just get it sorted out. ****ing pathetic, we really are an embarrassment on the world stage <doh>

Agree it is a bit farcical but it’s a plan for one reason only “project alternative fear”. This is where remainers can get their own back at leavers. May is doing this to call peoples bluff.

TBH today for the first time I actually think we are heading for WTO. Many economists have been coming out in the last few days saying we will be okay f it happens.

It will be a bumpy ride so stock up on beans and water. :emoticon-0105-wink:
