Don't know if there's a thread already, apologies if so. Noticed that Angeleri and Kilgallon are both included.

Anybody know if either has even played so far this season (in ANY SAFC fixture)?

Think Killgallon has been playing in the reserves and doing canny. Not a bad player to have knocking around the sqaud incase we pick up injuries. Not many teams will have a 5th choice cb as good as him.

I don't think Killgalon dud badley at all when he played for us last year. If he plays well in the reserves I don't see any reason why he could not get into contention. He is left footed and can play Lb.

I think we've all seen our share of poor footballers but in recent times we've been lucky enough to see a higher calibre of player and the difference is glaring. I remember Killgallons first touches on the ball for safc and my immediate thought was "championship". Like I say though, not bad to have around as back up. I still have a soft spot for Nuggsy, I think when Gyan is off to the anc Nuggsy is the man for us upfront :-D

Kilgallon may lack the composure on the ball of a Premier League defender, but he's ok in the air and a good tackler and marker.

If he's at the club, he may as well be in the squad.

Slightly off topic, what number did Bendy get?

Chats - thanks for posting the full list, had an end to end day at work and just never got back before now. On the topic of Killgallon, one of the lads I work with has said there's a bit of arumour that he may, I emphasise MAY, be heading to Brum on a season long loan with an option for them to buy at the end. Anybody heard anything??

The reason these players are in the squad is because we bought way too many midfielders and we need them as cover for the inevitable injury crisis again.

You're welcome. My day started late (only just now finished though) so had the time to check out who our players actually are. Surely these 27 players will see us through any injury/suspension crisis?

I'm not so sure about that. Four of that squad - Angeleri, Campbell, Gordon and Meyler - are already long-term injuries.

There are two ways to see it. Either (a) our injured players can only get better or (b) we're giving the injury problem a head start. It could go either way. I dunno which any better than anyone else.

Bendtner changes his number to 52 after Adebayor left Arsenal - His number was 25 so Niclas decided that he would revert the number to become the "anti-adebayor" however he has decided to keep this at Sunderland too
