It would be appalling anywhere. But by saying she was embarrassed it happened in Hull it gives the impression she though if was Hull people involved. Nothing to be embarrassed about, you can't stop someone from Lincoln acting li,e a moron in Hull than you can stop someone from Hull acting like a moron in Lincoln.

Interesting ‘truth development’ !

She never said she was embarrassed therefore the rest of your post is irrelevant

Sorry. She said it was appalling. What I said still applies. It could have happened anywhere. Hull isn't immune from these things so it was no different to it happening anywhere. Someone sleeping rough on the seafront got set on. Decent bloke, never bothers anyone. Smashing dog with him. Has been rolling up for 3 years now.
They were people from elsewhere on a weekend away. No reason to feel appalled it happened in Brid.
Someone I know, a City fan as it happens, is involved in trying to organise shelter and accommodation for rough sleepers but the bloke is one of those who doesn't want any help and doesn't like dealing with authority he just wants to do his own thing.

it took them some time to find the victims. when the video was originally put in the paper, they hadn't found them.
 
the police have named two of the lard-arsed mentally defective slobs in the video and charged them with assault. i see that one of them is listed as being "of no fixed abode". one hopes that means we will all be invited along to jump on him during the night.

I’ve no idea what the relevance of the last point is, but I think it’s appalling that the attack happened in Brid. That doesn’t mean I wouldn’t be appalled if it happened elsewhere either regardless of who did it, and it doesn’t mean that I assumed it was done by people from Brid either

Don't bother yourself about Castro, Den. I think he knows he's ****ed up, but won't admit it.

I think he under rates people's intelligence on here, so **** him. He just doesn't like Hull or it's people and he spouts that **** day after day. I don't think he knows what a broken record he is.

Leave him to it.

Its people, Kemps.

Saying someone shouldn't be appalled because something happens in Hull isn't a sign of disliking the place or its people. Unless they are paranoid.
 
I thought about putting this on the mental health thread, but wasn't sure it would have been appropriate.

I think it shows the risk of ignoring someone in distress. Full credit to the lady, it could have gone horribly wrong for both.

EDIT. It looks like it could well be fake I'm afraid. But the sentiment about passing by someone in distress still stands IMHO.
