Nor me really. I do recall him being unfairly dismissed after a good season. But not sure what style of play he believed in
Haven't Watford been pretty much the same ever since they've been in the PL, no matter who has been manager? Seems that way to me.
Adkins went after a 2-2 away draw to Chelsea. If a decision has been made, and it's just a case of finalising it, one result won't change that.
Decent enough; he shouldn't have been sacked. I don't remember his approach being particularly innovative; seem to remember them being fairly direct at times, though that could have been the product of having two really direct strikers in Igahlo/Deeney. Pretty sure I saw his Espanyol side play at least a couple times, but I can't really say that I remember anything standing out then, either. He's the least exciting of the three names recently mooted, for me, but we've had good luck with sartorially-gifted managers who were recently sacked by Espanyol, so why not.
And to complete the set (they all get rolled out when we sack someone), Pards was sacked after a 4-0 win away to Brissle Rovers
His year at Watford was when Igahlo went on that freakish scoring run for a month or two. Most of their points came during that spell.
I really hope this doesnt mean Valery and Obefemi will go back to the reserves. Just as hughes turns to youth, out of desperation more than anything else, we see signs of hope and he gets sacked. Too little too late. Perhaps Hughes would have faired better had he looked at our youth players rather than playing the same crap week in week out
Finished 13th and reached the FA Cup semis. Here’s a link to his being sacked by Espanyol. Interesting, or scary, that Espanyol didn’t score in his last five games. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43845736
