Shhh. We need Mourinho to stay. We need United to have more drab performances and tight, nervy matches that will occasionally be settled by Groot.
Watching the Roma Real match, the commentator mentioned there may not be center forward center half contact soon, after the Real and Roma players jumped for the ball and the Real player got booked. My memory goes back to the Bobby Smith days when he would be having punch-ups during the match with Trevor Smith of Birmingham and John Higgins of Bolton.Seemed to me the refs then turned a blind eye!
Chelsea have been average in the build up to the Spurs match and they were well beaten and often a defeat after a long unbeaten spell can mean a run of bad results. Sarri's statement after the match shows the strain of a boss under pressure "At the moment I don't like anybody." Well that's an extremely strange thing to say.
There's been trouble at the AEK v Ajax game tonight, including the throwing of a petrol bomb that just, just missed... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46366179 Anyone else on The Shelf the day the dirty Gooners threw one in the late 70's/early 80's? Can you remember what season it was?
Having pretty much done away with the indigenous population in the 19th Century, about half of the current Argentinian population is of Italian descent, including MP. The Brits and Irish built the rail network and supplied the banking but the political turmoil is definitely Italian.
I'm glad that Ajax went on to win anyway, but AEK should get a nice long ban for this. Disgusting behaviour.
Up until June 2016 I might have agreed with this statement - now it’s not such a clear ‘Italian’ facet
Worst trouble at the Lane was between 70-75 and whilst Gooner Derbies were always tense, the nastiest incidents that I recall were visits by the Chavs (‘73?) and the Spanners around the same time. Don’t recall petrol bombs, mind
Atletico Madrid v Monaco. Totally boring! But they say Monaco has 9 players out injured and are playing several teenagers. It's still boring!!!!!
A few months ago I saw an aged Palace hooligan in Croydon (unsurprisingly going into a Wetherspoons...) and even though he was in at least his mid-70s he was still wearing a string vest and flat cap and doing that thing where to show how well 'ard you are you walk down the street with your arms in a permanent flex in front of you
The good news is that Thierry Henry has finally learned that playing Nacer Chadli as a left back is suicide The better news is that, as Falcao missed the penalty that came from Tielemans' shot being handled, Henry can officially blame yet another defeat on Tielemans and the Levying can begin in earnest...
Does this make sense from the BBC "Napoli beat Liverpool 1-0 at home in the reverse game. If PSG beat Red Star in their final game, they will progress, meaning Liverpool need the following against Napoli: A 1-0 win will take them through on their head to head record courtesy of their away goal" Surely head to head they have a pair of 1-0s. GD on the whole group would be the same so it would go to Goals scored.
