I prefer to remember things as they were rather than how the media tell us it was :)

Sorry but you are deffo wrong. Our runs before January in 2008/09 were good. Keane did enough when Torres was injured pre Christmas to keep us in title race. Rafa ****ed him out and has no replacement and lost 6mil in deal. Torres got injured again.

So here are facts.

26th December 2008. Liverpool top of table on 42 points after 19 games. Utd 3rd on 35 after 17.

Roll on to Wigan game. 28th Jan. Man Utd top after 22 games on 50 points. Lfc 3rd on 48 after 23.

Roll on Boro game. 28th Feb. Utd 62 points, Lfc 55 Utd still had fame in hand.

What happened after that was 10 wins and 1 draw in league but we still ended 4 points off Utd.

So year fine we had a good run but the reality was we had ****ed it up in Jan and feb. Stoke, Everton, Wigan draws, Boro loss.

And they had two games in hand, so one point ahead.

One point ahead to two points behind = one loss

They still had a game in hand. They made up 4 points and opened up a two point gap (counting the one game in hand as auto win) in the space of a couple of weeks.

**** me how hard is it to see cause and effect.

I don't know mate, being able to go out in jan andbuy who ever they want could be considered a big plus.

On everything else I agree. However, I feel the underdog thing plays in our favour, klopp likes it and it's another thing that goes against pep, you've spent half a billion pound and we can still challenge.

City need to blow everyone away to justify the outlay

Only if right player is available... and there's not many to do anything for city.

Lfc

Alisson
Taa
Gomez lovren matip
Vvd
Robertson
Henderson fabinho
Windy
Milner Keita
Mane
Salah shaqiri
Firmino sturridge

We can't even claim lallana, clyne, Moreno as reserves that are adequate.

The reality is city will chase 4 trophies again but will rotate front 3 and midfield all they like while we have to play first 11 week in week out with little options to rest.

We are out of league cup but ****ed up cl such that we have no option but first 11.. i can see us throw fa cup again infuriatingly. (Spurs disgust me the way the do this, klopps in fa cup has annoyed me a lot)

We will need a big slice of luck and I'm worried that by January we will be running on fumes and tie up..

I have given him the facts and dates.

Stoke 0-0
Everton 1-1
Wigan 1-1

Boro 0-0

Utd had a huge lead after that.

We all knew we had to beat Wigan after a tough derby.

Yep. All because some are claiming Pep is rattled <laugh>

Nobody claimed pep is rattled, rather that klopp has the edge and it may play a part.

You then bizarrely claimed that psychology has no impact on football performance,

Then equally bizarrely claimed Rafa's 'rant' had no effect on the title race.

I don't think jorginho is a creative player though is he, he's in a similar mould to kante just not as good. I may be mistaken but I thought he was very much a defensive midfielder rather than a deep playmaker.

Nah nothing like Kante. He’s more like fsbregas or busquetes. A passer and someone who intercepts rather than runs around and tackles.

Spurs 3rd today shows he’s no defensive midfielder in that aspect as player just ran past him.

How bad was David Luiz for that 3rd. Takes me back to the PlayStation comment made about him few years back. He ended up running past Son and near enough off the pitch, instead of just holding his ground. Atrocious defending from someone who is a professional footballer

I've not seen enough of him to be honest, just the reports that city wanted him but Chelsea bought him. Most mentioned him as a defensive midfielder, I'm happy to be corrected.

This suggested otherwise...

It's a funny thing, but I reckon klopp has gotten under peps skin, if and it's a big if city stutter and we are still there or there about, he may just panic abit, we've seen managers **** it before because they have been rattled.

... if you didn't mean that he was rattled then the last three or four pages are more pointless than anything MITO says <whistle>

Don't buy it. 2 first 11's that can challenge in the squad.

We have to be perfect and lucky with injuries all season...they just have to be up for it each match.

Exactly. Pep and/or his players check our results because we're a rival, not because they're "rattled" (or bothered). Reality is, they'll probably finish well ahead of us.

We're not going to get 100pts. Man City did it last season sand are looking better this year imo

Does he have a history of pissing off his big players a la the moaney one? I genuinely don't know.

If he doesn't I can't see there being a psychology problem with them. The competition in squad should be enough.

May be if some if the players are happy sitting on the bench on big money but again I don't see it at the moment.

One match? They can be got at. Sometimes I think their effort doesn't match their quality.

But tbf.... if any squad has mental problems it's ours not theirs... and I mean players not manager.

Whilst completely ignoring the stunning form Man Utd hit too, nicely done <applause>

Ignore the so called rant for a minute and look at what we actually did that season. The "rant" clouds your judgement imo

Then they are pointless, do I think pep is sat shaking at home because of Liverpool and klopp, no I don't.

if we are in the same position come feb march time do I think he will be rattled, yes I do.

So why didn't you say that in the first place? <laugh>

PS... still don't think he'd be rattled. Concerned yes, but not rattled.
