You'll have Tel, Comm and Ern on your back for this
In all seriousness you are right. I had a debate with Ern the other day about the resources needed to produce meat. It's one of the biggest contributers to global warming in terms of deforestation, oil consumption and energy needed to produce. Ern didn't want to hear it though and threw out the vegan conspiracy BS angle. And that's before you even get into the animal welfare angle, some of those slaughter house videos are worse than horror movies.
I eat meat, but not loads of it. I have it maybe once or twice a week and I'm lucky enough to have access to good quality pasture fed local beef, chicken etc. I also live by the sea, so fresh fish is abundant down here. Meat in your diet can be good for you, but the problem we have in the west is that we eat far too much of it, and we eat **** quality meat that is full of chemicals and antibiotics, and processed so that it has no nutritional value.
Eating too much processed red meat is linked to bowel cancer, and that's not some 'vegan BS conspiracy' That's evidence from the World health organisation.
