Why didn't you post a link to the story ?

The question was would you step in if coppers are getting battered ?

Obviously the situation would dictate .

Now I had to dig about upload the video and because it's 3 black guys the race card gets pulled .

You nearly gave Fozzy another nervous breakdown.

Your'e gonna choose to fight someone, then choose a field in the middle of nowhere, have your bare knuckle ground rules and both of you bring someone to make sure the rules are adhered too. wrap bandage your knuckles, wear non-slip shoes and keep your chin tucked in.. Always defend an attack with an attack and make sure your opponent knows that you wont go down without a fight..<ok>

We are trained how to restrain without hurting...very effective but to be honest with an adult you'd need at least 2 people to do it.

    Knives - **** it, I’m outa there.,

There’s always gonna be some idiot who thinks he’s macho man - “I’ll take that knife and shove it up your arse” etc...

Unfortunately, in most instances “macho man” becomes “dead person”

I was on my phone and didn't have a link to the story, I'd just heard about it on the radio. But yeah the situation would dictate if you jumped in or not. I just thought it was interesting that a senior met copper was bemoaning the fact that nobody stepped in to help in this situation (when in fact somebody did). But looking at that situation as it was, I doubt many people would have jumped in to be honest.

Try and restrain someone high on drugs without hurting them, you cant, you have to incapacitate them

I'm not with you here, if you are helping a copper, why are you bothered about hurting them?

Every defense is an attack, also why would I need to hit someone when you can keep them out of range with a kick?

You've never had to do this have you ?

And it all depends on which drugs you're talking about. If somebody was out of their tree on Heroin or Barbituates then they would likely be less coordinated and easier to restrain. All depends on the person though.

No, but that doesn't sit well with me. He was (or still is) a paid officer employed to protect the public. His duty was to do just that, not lock himself away.
