Very true. And what you say about officials being human is true too. I just can't accept that highly-paid officials - they're not amateurs any more - don't know the rules, and that impinges on the whole structure of the Ref's association. It would almost be better that they were bent as opposed to a ramshackle outfit of clowns. But whatever they are, they're not above scrutiny, and they're not some well-meaning volunteers whom we should be grateful to for just turning up. The decision was a shambles and should be criticised relentlessly.
