I'm sure he did - I just want that to be admitted and not brushed under the carpet. Think it was very classy of Sade to shrug his shoulders and admit he got away with an offside goal against W Ham. Very true. And what you say about officials being human is true too. I just can't accept that highly-paid officials - they're not amateurs any more - don't know the rules, and that impinges on the whole structure of the Ref's association. It would almost be better that they were bent as opposed to a ramshackle outfit of clowns. But whatever they are, they're not above scrutiny, and they're not some well-meaning volunteers whom we should be grateful to for just turning up. The decision was a shambles and should be criticised relentlessly.

Legend has it that Ferguson never let Webb cash his until the decisions had been made and the results were in.

It's a Saxton thing, if you've ever made the bad decision to visit the politics thread. I won't be any more, as it's just turned into an alt-right echo-chamber , policed by bannon bots. Diego visits there when everyone on here goes to bed. Or earlier, if he can be persuaded...

I avoid politics threads on here. Being (even a moderate} socialist isn't popular.
