What Preparation you have to ask especially after having the experience Cardiff had the last time....

"Harry Arter and Joe Ralls have formed a good partnership in the heart of the midfield and the duo has kept the ball moving effectively. However, Victor Camarasa, after a bright start to the season, has faded a bit and that has cost the team dearly." - Interesting observation??

I have no idea what games they have been watching. Camarasa has been one of the best things so far to come from this season.

Load of bollocks.

Camarasa has real class and quality - apart from young Murphy, something we don't have in depth if at all.

Could do with a few rumours about teams wanting pilks, Tomlin and madine, though thought pilks unlucky to miss out.

Pilks could have done us a job, particularly in the enforced absence of Mendez and the poor form of Hoilett.

As far as Tomlin and Madine go, I'm afraid the decisions to sign them, particularly Madine's cost and the ridiculous Tomlin wages are an embarrassment.

"Camarasa has faded a bit"

What clown wrote this? He was outstanding against Fulham and did his best but inevitably got swamped on Saturday.

This idiot must write scripts for very poor comedians.

We all know what we need. Moses would add to the squad certainly but at £75k per week, no thanks.

Some interesting opinions in the comments section.

Pre season it was obvious City needed s decent RB, an experienced CB plus a striker.

Arter & Victor were good signings but Ralls and Damour are just not up to this level. Needed a really decent central midfield ball winner and passer.

he injury to NML came at the wrong time as Hoilett has been next to useless.

I still don’t understand why NW thought his over achieving championship team supplemented by a few better than average championship players would suffice in the PL.

Perhaps his remit was to keep costs down and maintain premiership status on a shoestring. Who knows? The only time VT let go of the purse strings he got burnt.

.......and if it doesn't work Taff, will he learn from that next time we get up? God knows when that will be.

If Tan's learned anything from our last foray up here and his time involved in football, it's that although money doesn't guarantee success, you will achieve zilch if you don't improve your team for the challenge ahead - and that means money.

Far too much reliance has been placed on those who got us here to keep us here. I find it difficult to believe that Warnock convinced him not to spend, but on the other hand he might have been given the impression that this could be done on a shoestring.

Maybe it can, but if it doesn't come off I can't buy all this crap that we'll be better off going back down with the money.

Agreed Sparks, if it is a Russell Slade scenario it's not good enough. I don't want us to be a yo-yo club and everything must be done to keep us in the premier league, if that's where VT wants us.
It may mean busting the bank on short term deals or even some of the dreaded short term loan deals, but that may be the price to pay. 3 big short term deals in the January window may do us the world of good, if they come off, otherwise more doom and gloom.

Fulham spent £100m and our budget is apparently two thirds of Huddersfield. We could spend up to their limits and be no better off.
If we do spend in Jan all I hope is for value for money. No more Madines or Tomlins. Don't spend for spendings sake.
Said it before, Colin isn't good with money.

The knife is still unattached........:emoticon-0130-devil

Remote - the point is we shouldn't be having to talk about spending in January, we should have done it properly in the summer to avoid this scenario.

In the main, we've relied on our guys of last season coming good at Premier level. Big gamble that may well still come off, but if we need players in January then we need them now. To that extent we pissed on our chips in the summer by being too cautious with our guaranteed Premier cash.

That's my opinion anyway. :emoticon-0105-wink:
