Feel like we should get in on this: https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spo...erpool-consider-offers-ragnar-klavan-15024739 Ragnar Klavan could leave Liverpool before the end of the month. The Reds will listen to offers for the 32-year-old centre-back, who is keen to secure more regular game time. Klavan arrived at Anfield from FC Augsburg for £4.2million in 2016 and a return to the Bundesliga before August 31 is a possibility. Liverpool snubbed an approach from Newcastle United prior to last week's Premier League transfer deadline with Jurgen Klopp short of defensive cover. However, with Joel Matip now back in training and Dejan Lovren only expected to be sidelined for a few weeks with a pelvic problem, Klopp is open to the idea of granting Klavan a move.
Also Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting looks to be leaving Stoke. Choupo-Moting is often stationed as a striker or on the left wing. He is a composed finisher and possesses purposeful and powerful dribbling ability, comfortable on either left or right flanks or through the middle of the pitch. Choupo-Moting is known for high work rate, long stride and powerful, direct dribbling ability.
I'm in Madrid. Maybe I should pop up to the Bernabeu and see who's knocking around? Possibly a little cactus flowering weakly in this desert we call life?
I'm in Porthcawl. Maybe I should pop in to Trecco and see who's knocking around? Nah, been there, done that.......
I'm in Gelli. Maybe I should pop in to Cost Cutters and see if Jason Levien and Steve Kaplan are knocking around.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...Ham-interested-Irish-whizzkid-Elvis-Azah.html It’s disappointing no decent talent has come through the academy or whatever it is called since Ramsey & Gunter. Stories like this also aggravate.
Warnock and bellamy have only just finished overhauling the academy and have been busy seeding older age groups into it from outside. It suggests the quality of what was there wasn't good enough. The issue is one of timing. It could be a few years before 'First teamers' start rolling off the production line. Agree it would be frustrating if this lad has been with us for pre-season but gets nicked elsewhere. Suppose we're only one in a list of clubs he's been on trial with.
He played against Taffs Well, Did he play during the week away in Cornwall? I seem to remember quite a few 'trialists' on the team sheets. I guess we can't sign them all but if Warnock really liked/wanted him then he would have made him a decent offer
So Grujic didn't want to go out on loan to us and decided to stay at Liverpool................... http://www.insidewalessport.co.uk/cardiff-city-target-grujic-joins-berlin/
Saw that Sparks. Anyway on Saturday's evidence it looks like we acquired better options in Arter and Camarasa. Arter MOM but Camarasa impressed me with his movement, vision and passing, general skill on the ball and not afraid to get stuck in. The more he gets used to football here the better he will become. Best midfield display by City for quite some time.
Totally agree Bluey - by far the most positive thing to come out of that game apart from the point. I can see the option of a Plan B now that we didn't seem to have before. Let's hope that it's used because Plan A needs better options in the air than Zohore.
Thank f**k he did.. We would never have got Harry Arter, who in my opinion is a class act! And Camarasa looked very good too.
Our central midfield 3 looked like a proper central midfield. If only we had a decent striker like Callum Wilson. 3 talked about pre window slamming all scored over the weekend, Grays goal was superb.
Agree. We are far better of in the midfield. I am just hoping that Zohore shows something extra. I would love a Jay Bothroyd style season from him!
Yes indeed but Bothroyd was miles better than Zahore. He had it all and would have been an international class player with a better work ethic and stayed on his feet more. That season with him & Chopra on fire - if only City had had a half decent defence we’d never have had to put up with that Wembley disaster
Amazing recent past for Cardiff City though, since promotion from the third tier, we’ve had maybe thirteen seasons in The Championship (some say the best league), now our second time in the biggest league...an FA Cup final appearance...a League Cup final appearance.... various playoff campaigns, and always towards the top end. For somebody who’s been following City since the early sixties, the different experience has been fantastic. Incidentally, aside from Rotherham, the Championship has a great array of clubs I remember from the top league, particularly Ipswich who seem to be going nowhere....up or down! Micheal Chopra and Jay Bothroyd was a great time, albeit “short time”, as the girls used to say in Thailand! Also used to say, “you most handsome man in Thailand”, and “you have massive plick!” Another story, for another time pals!
