I like that, and by the way I did mean a NE XI that could beat Scotland, Ireland or Wales individually. I think the above line up would thump all of them. Less so Ireland.

Shay Given

Sean St Ledger John O'Shea Richard Dunne Kevin Foley

Aiden McGeady Damien Duff James McCarthy

Kevin Doyle Robbie Keane Shane Long

That team you posted would 'thump' this team?

It wouldn't even thump the Welsh team. Its a ****ing crap team for the most part. There's only 5 decent players there, and they've all moved away from the North East.

That team is so unbalanced lol

I knocked it out off the cuff, it would still slap the team of Brown Ale drinking cloggers listed above. England beat a poor Bulgaria side and all you boys are dividing England up and telling us certain areas would 'thump' established footballing nations <laugh> You English boys never learn. Out to the first side ranked in the top 10 you meet next summer <ok>

Talk about a collective hard on <laugh>

yes but im not taking that into account, im just saying it would be an amazing team a lot of it due to the reasons you listed, also, why the ****e name change?

Because Raul left??

And I was just making the point that it wouldn't be that amazing considering the population of London, I mean, smaller countries like Uruguay and Croatia could beat a London XI, and they have a smaller population than London I believe.

These guys are mad mate <ok>

I like the Republic and I said they would do well and majority said they would beat every team apart from the Republic. Said that would be a tougher game

The thread starter said the NE team posted would 'thump' all the teams but less still Ireland <ok>

Did he mean we would get away with a 2 or 3 nil instead of a proper thumping?

I know, when was the last time England beat a decent nation in a competitive game? Or even in a friendly?

Everytime they beat a tiny nation with not much talent they start overexaggerating the talent they have at their disposal.

Just say it was North East v Republic of Ireland. This would be my line ups:

Harper

McMahon - Taylor - Woodgate - Taylor

Henderson - Cattermole - Carrick

Johnson - Carroll - Downing

v

Given

O'Shea - Dunne - St Ledger - Kilbane

McGeady - Gibson - Whelan - Duff

Long - Doyle

Would be a good game but I think the Johnson - Carroll - Downing attack would be too strong
