    On the subject of goals scored from distance, didn’t the Saints defence stand off and let Shelley bury one from 25/30 yards, when Swansea visited a few seasons back?
    Just hope that they are aware of the damage he can cause, when he turns up with Newcastle, at the weekend.

    Judging by the approx. 5000 times they let Coutinho cut in and bend one in with his right foot from 25 yards I don't think we do

    if any fans want another depressing fact, Claude Puel has won more games at St Mary's since leaving than Mark Hughes has since joining.

    Here's another ****ty stat. I'm a STH and very rarely miss a home league game but last season I couldn't make the Bournemouth game.
    That means the last time I saw them win was against Everton on Nov 26th 2017.

    The one decent cross/pull back into the danger area, per game, by Cedric invariably finds Shane Long.

    How the **** are we not either in the Championship or rooted to the bottom of the league? 5 wins in 40 league games, pretty much one home win in a year. Premier League so bad <laugh>
