The way things are moving, there's a real possibility of a breakaway movement well within in the next decade and quite probably the next 5 years. I'll give ENIC their due, they've timed the stadium investment perfectly. Without it, we'd be on the sidelines watching these developments. With the best stadium in world football and a guaranteed 62,000 capacity in London, we're unlikely to get left behind.
There's every likelihood that the cost of the build will seem inconsequential in the years ahead. With the sale of Wembley falling through and our NFL chances being significantly enhanced, I can potentially see Chelsea's asking price of £3 billion being matched for our club, should Joe choose to sell.
