In that case i spoke to Sven and he told me he had been secretly tapping up Maynard who couldnt wait to play in front of a high attendance, get paid lots of cash, work under Sven, play alongside quality and not gash like Mcgivern, have a real shot at promotion and not relegation and play for a club who show ambition by putting there money where there mouth is (instead of a chairman who apparently is the richest man in the universe yet hasnt bought a single decent player)

How can a player speak to a club if a fee hadnt ever been agreed. The player also wont hand in a transfer request because it activates penalties in his contract for leaving his contract early. Why incur a lump sum cash penalty when you can wait 12 months and gain a lump sum cash bonus - in the form of a signing on fee.

Christ im struggling not to tar all BCFC fans with the same thick as **** brush - but the amount of mornonic and ill informed, un educated and irrational comments is quite ridiculous

Education is a wonderful thing and i hope it reaches the South West at some point

I dont think too many in real life are deluded - unfortunately the forums brings the worst trolls around in a cyber social enviroment. Most believe we have a better chance than most at promotion this season, that there is a huge amount of expectation to succeed, that teams will only be too happy to put one of us because of the cash tag, that we wont walk the league at all, that there wil be some suprise results and teams succeeding in the league.

All im debating on this forum was against some of your uneducated morons that they cannot be sure that Maynard wouldnt have joined us given the chance. The two clubs never agreed a fee so the player was never given a chance. Ive made a number of logical assertations as to why i believe he may have come, i.e. 4 bids - simply tell Sven no interest and there would have only been 1 bid (we would have moved to other targets sooner, i.e. Jelavic and Beckford). All i got in return was thick as **** statements like: 'Maynard is my bessie and he told me Leicester is a **** hole and would prefer to play for Accrington Stanley over you. If its WUMIng then its pathetic and if its an attempt at a reasoned debate then its ****ing ******ed!
 
Please.. WalshNo5 tell me, why would Schmeichel leave a more established club than Leicester, Pantsil leave a premier league club, Danns to leave a championship club who are riding higher than you, same with Mills and beckford to leave a premiership team.

If he did he would have asked for a transfer as did many other players before him (Ronaldo, Fabregas, Anelka, Rooney for starters) and any losses would have been picked up on his new contract as is common practice across the football league, organised by their agents.
