Just checking out next weekend's fixture. Aside from Cardiff's trip to Anfield, I'd suggest that all the matches at the bottom end could go either way. Saints v Newcastle, Fulham v Bournemouth, Watford v Huddersfield, Leicester v West Ham.

Opportunity for a healthy-ish gap to open up above the bottom four. But equally an opportunity for those bottom four to close right up.

I don't think Fulham getting cutting adrift would necessarily be terminal for them. Firstly they have a lot of new players, who may well gel better as the season goes on. Secondly I could see them spending money in January if required. But if any of Newcastle, Cardiff and Huddersfield get cut adrift, I wouldn't be putting any money on them turning it around. I wouldn't back any of them to spend much in January. So to an extent I do think they onus is on the likes of us and West Ham to open that gap up, this side of Xmas, and then just maintain it throughout the rest of the season.

That Cardiff second goal is up there with some of the worst football you'll see. Cardiff make a pigs ear of the free-kick, and the rebound. Only for Fulham to then out-do them, with their subsequent defending.

I sometimes wonder what people see. Looked like a perfectly worked, training ground routine.

Nice late winner (hopefully). This is the start of a horror run of fixtures for Palace.

Watching this Arsenal, Leicester game, its apparent to me how similar Saints and Leicester are. On paper both sides are the same make up, something is so wrong at Saints, that MH can not get the same out of our team compared to Claude Puel.

Except they have goalscorers in midfield as well as up top of course?

And better players in probably 7 or 8 positions.

Handball not seen by referee, can only think he didn’t see it albeit staring straight at it. Arsenal very lucky.

Wow. Really good save by Leno as arsenal just let Maguire have freedom of the penalty area from a free kick.

Wish we had signed Maddison the boy is class on the half turn. Reminds me of David Silva always a step ahead. Wasn’t to be.

Ozil with a lovely finish makes it 1-1. Done nothing all half then bang. Can’t underestimate how hard a finish like that is to guide it into the far corner with your instep first time whilst running at full tilt.
