charity shield is just what it says on the tin. it's a preseason friendly played for charity.
super cup is another of the same. it's not even remotely relevant as a game.
world.club championship is something fifa have wanted but have failed.to create primarally as they've stuck.it out in far East as a "neutral ground"
imo if you.counted these then you'd have to ask.
if you won the cl one year and won nothing but the super cup or world.club championship the next year would you be happy?

Because a trophy for winning 1 or two games is embarrassing, especially when it's often a fight between different levels of competition
How about the PL winners go on a post season tour against the winners of every other league in England, you could get like 15 trophies
It would make more sense to award trophies for coming top of your CL group than the world club championship

People talk about consistency winning the league, but to win the world club you have to perform over 3 seasons, one to qulify, one to win pre requisite and one to win the cup.
Would i be happy with winning just the wcc one season, hell yeah

Normally agree with you astro on a lot of things but i dont think it is anything like that.
CL winner versus winners of the other equivalent champs of other footballing regions is prestigeous to me the number of games is irrrelavent as the process to reduce the participants has already taken place
It is the best team from each region.
Because europe and south america are strong areas that is where the final two places usually yield from
You havent won one or two games you have performed over 38 games to qualify first stage 16 (Ish)games second stage and couple of games final stage
These are not genuine competitions, they are invitationals. The process to reduce the participants applied to the original competition not the new one that's being staged.
You even admit it yourself the new competition's value is only in leeching off the original: "I WANT to win the world club championships as it means we have qualified for and won the CL".
How about 2 CLs or 1 CL and 1 Super Cup? 101% of people would choose 2 CLs (margin of error 1%)
People can also understand that competition for entertainment requires a level of fairness. The world club cup takes clubs with vastly different resources. Even with just 7 clubs involved it still has to be seeded to avoid completely embarrassing the participants.

Cannot go off the competion they are there on merit, otherwise if you have an easy route to CL pr FA cup
