If SM departed would it really be met with shrugs and sighs of "meh" with a token bit of anger at a lack of resolve to fight it out.

For me, I'm so indifferent that I'd just like him to be poached by Villa just so I can say "Exit stage left, pursued by a cabbage!"

Does that make me a bad person?
What is meh
I see it all the time but it means nothing to me

To be honest I really do think it is false news...and not true at all

But if Steeve really did interview for the vacant Villa job I would throw him out myself. If is so uncommitted to us that he is already looking for greener pastures. I think our board would have too

As said first of all, I think it is false and lazy reporting....but

Just a rumour to get people to bung some cash on him, or some semblance of truth? Frankly, with the money they've got, I'd have thought they'd be looking for a more high-profile name....however, if true, it show's a lack of honour on his behalf having only been in the job a few months....

I'd happily drive the c*nt up to Villa Park and throw him through their gates, they deserve him...

Here's what i don't get........

At the end of last season they were basically financially crippled as they had a shed load of high earners and had lost in the play off final, so Bruce admits he has to sell players and the owner admits that he has been pumping in £500k - £1m a week of his own money to keep them afloat. They were border line breaking EFL FFP regulations.....

They sell a few but not their one true cash cow in Grielish who stays put, they loan in Bolaise and Grabon from Premier League Clubs, not going to be cheap, sack Bruce presumably paying up his contract, poach Smith from Brentford presumably having to pay compensation, I can understand why he wants to manage them as he's a life long Villa fan, but again getting a pay rise in the process and appoint Terry as his No 2 who's only loyalty is to his bank balance.........

Surely it's about time the EFL looked at the real time finances of clubs as they have to be breaking FFP limits by now instead off looking back at historical figures after the event.......

Smith has done an exceptional job at Brentford on limited funds and I wouldn't bet against them being higher in the table than Villa come May time, the Villa job is a poisoned chalice and the weight of expectation from their fans will be a burden.........

I think if they don’t get promoted this season the EFL/FFP will come down hard on them & let’s hope so.

They've got new owners, I believe, so that's where the extra cash is coming from, but I assume they'll still be in breaxh of the three year FFP rule if they don't go up this season

I expect Villa will get round FFP. The big and mighty find a way, leaving the likes of QPR to pay.

They need to get promoted quickly to avoid this and never be relegated again.
