Milk. I know you drive but couldn't you say your car broke down, as I assume be no public transport running.

Hurricane #2 coming through where I am... Although just like the last one this will only be a tropical storm by the time it reaches is most likely.
Just like last time , work is not only saying we can't take time off for it... But if we already had time scheduled to be off (I do, I had scheduled to take the day off) we're no longer allowed to take the day off.
It's stupid. The city closes down. Kids are out of school... Even daycare is closed but we're all supposed to show up even if we had vacation scheduled. I'm sure it will be nothing by the time it reaches us. I think 40mph winds predicted max... But still...
Whereas every other employer in the city is wanting their employeew to be safe (and not sue them if anything happens commuting to work) mine is trying to just be an arse for the sake of being an arse cancelling people's scheduled time off.
I'm a web developer there is no emergency need to have me at work during a storm...
Now I was considering not taking the day off anyway because with kids being home I couldn't do what I had planned to take the day off for.. but I do think it's ridiculous and insane they cancelled my day off.

Is it hospital you work for? Think vaguely remember you saying that in the past.
Does seem a stupid move to bring in people especially if you can work from home. It’s only going to be a decade or so before actually offices become redundant in a lot of industries anyway, just a huge overhead cost that isn’t needed.
Youd think given it’s America the land of lawsuits that company’s would want to risk as little as possible as well!

They were on for 2.5 hours solid
Got physio appointment on Monday to look at my leg/knee/back. Still bad from few months ago although eased up a bit since then

What's up with them? I can't actually remember. Sorry![]()
Well I think it’s my back that’s the problem, but my hamstring really tight which I think is having knock on affect to my knee because now that’s painful behind the knee as well.
God knows whats actuwlly wrong though

Sounds like a lot of referred pain going on there. I'd go to an osteopath rather than a physio, or both![]()
Theyre pretty much all one of the same so although it’s called s physio place they cover all that stuff as well

This "hurricane" was worse than the last one even if it passed over Florida and Georgia before getting here instead of landing on the coast.
Still wasn't too bad though. One flooded interstate intersection blocked off and power keeps flickering... But still not too bad where I am.
What was like in Orlando?

Could be either way. Your back takes the strain for lower body injuries but if the back pain came first, it affects the way you walk and carry yourself generally so knees and thighs can be overworked.usually it's the opposite.
back pain coning from over used muscles compensating from wherever original injury is.

I did come back. I have pneumonia.Could be either way. Your back takes the strain for lower body injuries but if the back pain came first, it affects the way you walk and carry yourself generally so knees and thighs can be overworked.
Anyway, what was luv's diagnosis. Drops in to say he might be on his last legs and doesn't come back to reveal what the doc said. Shouldn't we be worried? @luvgonzo hope all's well![]()
