I wasn't a fan of Capaldi and thought Moffat was taking it in the wrong direction, it had lost its element of fun.Watched the new Dr Who.... think she will be an improvement on the last one.
So I watched Moonlight, I don't get the fuss. Found it rather boring.
And after watching La La Land a little while ago, another extremely overrated film, and Manchester by the Sea, nothing special, I feel that if those were the front three (and the winner) all the other Oscar nominated films that year were robbed or it was just a very poor year.
So:
Moonlight 6/10
La La Land 6/10
Manchester by the Sea 6.5/10

Thought last night, some of the dialogue seemed forced and the story was kind of simple. Also a couple of awful attempts at 'Northern' accents.
But Whittaker was decent with room to settle in the role and the companions have a better feel to them than the last two.
Obviously I recognised about 90% of the locations. I drive past that Crane yard every Wednesday.
I agree with all your points. As you say first episode always sounds a bit clunky until the relationships develop.I wasn't a fan of Capaldi and thought Moffat was taking it in the wrong direction, it had lost its element of fun.

Watched first episode of Rise of Pheonixes on Netflix.
Don't quite know what to make of it but I think I like it.... although season one has 60 45 minutes episodes lol... I'm assuming that's a mistake and it's actually a few series stuck together!
I think the pace might put a lot off. I think it's necessary as the story looks like it's big and complex and not to be rushed but I think it will make it a chore to binge watch lol: with subtitles and scheming plots you cant really watch without concentrating.Might add to my list it gets decent reviews.
Just the finale of season four left now, I think it's been quality, a much needed improvement [HASHTAG]#ftwd[/HASHTAG]
Watching Jack Ryan. It's basically a take on part of the plot of the Jack Ryan novel Executive Orders.
I'm half way through. Don't get me wrong I'm enjoying it. I understood they'd have to make the young Ryan character develop through middle eastern conflict rather than the originals cold war experiences.Yes, it starts well though.
I am presuming there a sub plot that will continue into season 2
Not hard. Never watch Dr Who but from my exposure to the following...Watched the new Dr Who.... think she will be an improvement on the last one.
Shows how much you watch/pay attention too. There was a Doctor inbetween Smith and Whittaker. Not hard. Never watch Dr Who but from my exposure to the following...
David Tennant - Annoys the **** out of me
Matt Smith - Annoys the **** out of me
New Dr Who - [HASHTAG]#iwould[/HASHTAG]
BCS Finale superb. @Red Hadron Collider

Kim was terrified of him at the end, brilliant stuff.Watched it last night, mate. ****ing wonderful. Even the unit came off the laptop and watched it with the earphones out so she could hear all of it. Hilarious when he was taking the piss out of one of the board members for crying when his bird shed a tear. Welcome back, Saul Goodman![]()
