No I missed that. Well spotted She's getting sucked in. I fear it'll end in serious tears for both of them.
Actually she did watch an episode with me. We took a break while waiting for red beans and rice to cook last evening. I think we both thought it was Ok... Not the best but decent enough.
"Where the sailor spends his hard-earned pay, red beans and rice for a quarter, you can see her almost any day singing voulez, voulez vous"
Good Place season 3 has started. Seems like the show is good again. Season 1 was great. 2 was very mediocre at best. Season 3 seems to be starting well again.
Looking for something new on Netflix the other day... Through the "Netflix exclusives" (most of which are BBC or ITV shows that Netflix just owns the US broadcast rights to but act like they created them) I had to laugh. About 50% of the shows are British police crime shows/mini series... Watching the little automatic previews for them they all look the same. There are a crap load of British police crime series. All with a reluctant cop, and an office building with lots of glass. Either it's a mass murder or a kidnapping. If it's a kidnapping it's a friend of the cop (or a friend of the relative) who is guilty. If it's a murderer the cop's partner or friend is always somehow involved. It was quite amusing just watching the previews how formulaic they all look.
Just saw the trailer for Rocketman, the Elton biopic. Whatsisname out of Kingsmen and Eddie the Eagle plays Elton but he's also singing the songs, which is why I haven't posted the trailer here. It's not great. Sure, he can hold a tune but he's no Jamie Foxx doing Ray Charles.
Thought it was about a guy hunting wolves but then there was the serial killing incest and extreme violence!!!
